we gotta be trading a wing. Fournier makes the most sense. Ross is an expiring
-
I think Payton missed some games due to an ankle injury. That season Oladipo was an absolute stud off the bench, wish we kept with it. That January folllowing the 19-13 start is when the wheels fell off of the rebuild and management gave up on it. Gave Harris away for nothing at the trade deadline and it was all down from there. *edit: elbow injury for EP in early 2016
-
Lol... I know the rebuild has been hard on us all, but there's no way this is a 30 win team
-
Very deep roster without a star. As of now we're a 41-41 lower tier playoff team, but I think Isaac and Hezonja are the odd men out of the rotation
-
Payton/Mack/Augustin Fournier/Simmons Ross/Isaac/Hezonja Gordon/Speights Vucevic/Biyombo Except in today's NBA I don't think Mo is a 4. Hezonja will never see the court with this rotation.
-
Speights reportedly on the verge of signing a deal with us. He did go to UF, so I'm sure he has family nearby, which could play a role. Just don't see why he agrees to come here unless we have a trade being made.
-
Meh. To me, the Augustin deal was and is worse.
-
The cap didn't rise nearly as much as was projected this offseason. It makes almost all of last year's signings awful across the NBA.
-
What about Kyrie to Denver for Harris, Murray, Faried and a first?
-
Not saying he's not a nice fit, but I don't think he's coming to a losing franchise to play spot minutes
-
Interesting that we met with Speights. We don't have room in the rotation for him
-
Kyrie and Porzingis is gonna be a fun duo
-
A little worse in the short term, screwed in the long term
-
Correct. LeBron has a no trade clause. He only leaves if he wants to and goes where he wants to.
-
I think so, especially with the gauntlet of teams out West. I could totally see a Carmelo and 2 future firsts to Cleveland for Kyrie trade happening though.
-
Cleveland can't blow it up, can they? They need to trade Kyrie for someone that can help them while they still have LeBron. Fournier and Payton would both thrive playing next to LeBron (but who doesn't?)
-
Man... I want Kyrie here so bad

Cavs in serious talks with D.Rose for a 1 year deal
-
21 year old, athletic freak, gym rat, who gets to play his natural position all season going in to his 4th NBA season. There's no way (outside of injury) Aaron doesn't improve this year, the question is how big of a leap he takes.
-
This is exactly how you wind up overpaying players or losing them for nothing. The cheapest way to keep either Payton or Gordon will be to extend them before they hit RFA. They've both shown enough flashes that teams with money will offer them big deals.
-
I wouldn't. Biyombo is 25 with no real injury history, Dwight is 31 with a ton of mileage on the tires and a history of back problems. That's not even including the drama and the fact he's a horrible teammate. I'd rather have neither, but at least there's a small chance Biz could turn it back around. We should start by not playing him at the 4 next to Vucevic.
-
Man, we're planning to have a ton of cap space two offseasons from now. That's a steal for Simmons
-
Makes sense. With the hope he looks good enough for the Cavs or someone in win-now mode desperate for rim protection to take a flyer on him. It stretches the remaining money on the players contract out over 5 years, correct? So, if we stretched him this year we'd still pay him 10 mill until 2022, if we stretched him in 2019 we'd pay him 3.5 mill till 2024 *edit - we'd pay him outright, but those numbers would be his count against the cap
-
Oh, I'm with you, I don't want it to be Mario pushed out of the rotation. I want him to get one more chance. I really hope a Fournier + Vucevic trade is coming. We also still have our stretch provision from the new CBA, I'd consider stretching Biz's contract if we can't trade Vooch

Rondo to the Pelicans on a 1 year deal
