Official 2015 Offseason Thread

If I never see Mr. Clear Path Foul Frye on this team again, I would be thrilled. I would trade him for a bag of peanuts. His effort last year was a joke. New coach or not. -

People, don't believe everything you read. As far as him taking them as far as Kerr, possibly, nobody is sure. I didn't see Kerr make one shot in the playoffs. -

Booker plays below the rim and is a good shooter. Except for those two big keys to his game, they are miles apart. -

Oubre is a no brainer over Booker. His ceiling is very high, imo. Booker looks like McDermott 2.0 -
Last year all the so called experts had us taking Exum. This year I hope the false flag is Porzingis, then we steal Winslow, Mario, WCS or Johnson. One of those four or bust for me.
-
I would like to see us make that jump into being a contender and free agency or trades is the ONLY way to do it next season, but Rob has shown no inclination to rebuild this way. So Patience is the word for this fan base, hopefully Rob makes a few moves this offseason to at least get us into the playoffs with a young core.

Please god!!!!!!

Winslow shot 40% from 3 and you say he cant shoot. Come on. Get real.
-
You guys need to put the Kool-Aid down for a second and think how many 7 footers from Europe with this guys frame have been very good players in the NBA. I am not talking perennial all stars, maybe one or two all star appearances and a solid career. Then how many busts. IMO the busts are many more and many did not even come over aka Fran. It is a gigantic risk that Rob would be taking. I wish him luck.
-
His is also averaging in those games posted. .8 assists per game. So he has that going for him. Seriously you think he is getting that much stronger. I have seen petite girls with wider shoulders than this guy.
-
So on rare occasions he gets more than 12 points and more than 4 rebounds. WOW! I'm sold. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Fear will make people very brave in some instances. I feel that Lebron, intimidates even his own teammates, sometimes a great thing. Depending on the personality of said player. I wouldn't want to play with Lebron and fail, I don't think that would be a pleasant experience. -
If the Magic feel WCS can defend the Lebrons and the Hardens of the NBA and I am not talking kinda defend, I mean really almost lock down those type of guys then I am all for drafting him. He has to be an ELITE defender day one, or I am going another direction.
-
So since he prefers the left side means he can't shoot well. I prefer to believe that at 19 years old he has to get better if he works at it at all. From what I have read he is a hard worker and gym rat. So odds are improvement is a given. And the plus side is, he is not a toothpick and can d up most small forwards. If you look at most if not all 3 point shooters in the nba, they prefer one side or the other. They are not shooting over 45% from all angles.
-
No and No, I want Winslow or WCS, possibly trade down for Johnson or Oubre. Depends on workouts, which I am not privy. Earlier you said we should get Davis only if we trade Nicholson and Frye. Well SIGN ME UP!!!
-
He looks more lost than asleep. I think he would drive Skiles crazy.
-
I think WCS can develop an acceptable offense, but I am hopeful that Dedmon can do the same. That is why Winslow is my pick among other parts he brings to the game.
-
I agree we need outside shooting desperately, have you looked at Mario's defense. He is lost most of the time. Forget about him playing a switching defense. It is going to take a lot of work for him to become even an ok defender. This is why you have to take Winslow over him. The guy shot over 40% from 3 this year, its not like he is a bad shooter.
-
To throw all the teams offensive woes on Dedmon is overvaluing his impact on the that side of the floor. For one he did not play that many minutes, and he was not the one turning the ball over and throwing up brick after brick. To put it all on him is just wrong.
-
He rises high up to shoot that 3 which makes it a lot easier to get that shot off over a bigger guy. I don't see a problem there.
-
Booker reminds me of McDermot very little athleticism. As for Johnson not finishing at rim, seems that he is looking for contact before attempting his shot. Which isn't a bad thing.
-
After watching a lot of videos on all these players I have changed my pick from Mario to Justise. Winslow is so well rounded and has intensity. Mario seems lost on defense. Unless he is draining shots, he looks like he just doesn't care to play. We don't need prima dona's on this team. I would also consider trading down and getting Johnson or Oubre. Especially Oubre, who has such great length and a nice outside touch. Could be the steal of the draft.

Welcome Home Coach Scott Skiles!
fan for too long 2 replied to MAGICmanSAM's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
I have no doubt that you are not a brilliant fortune teller. Otherwise you would be not on this website spouting off like a spoiled child. You would be surrounded by beautiful women or men and living it up like the Kardasshians. Skiles is the coach I wanted when we hired Van Gundy. Finally thanks, Rob and Alex. -
This ^ And for those that think Kristaps has quick feet then you must think Nicholson is like Usain Bolt. And yes I have watched Porz play.
