Isnt it true that Rondo for example was an effective player without being a good shooter. As for Mario, sitting on the bench is not going to help his game. Playing Oladipo at point is not good and playing Frye or Marble at all is not good either.

Over reaction, possibly. lol. I hope, like you that Elf will be able to become a better shooter. Because that is what he is going to have to do, to be effective in this new offense. Not being able to play much this preseason is not helping.

This is what scares me about Skiles so far, its like he is trying to fit square pegs into round holes. He needs to play to his players strengths, not weaknesses. Elf is not good off the ball and I have seen that a lot in this system. That is why Shabazz and Watson have looked better, they are better off the ball than with it. Elf may be on the trading block, if that is what skiles wants. AND THAT SUCKS!!!!

Definitely depends on match ups. And how Mario can improve on his lateral defense.

Slightly but not much, but I think Peja was more of a clutch player. As for being a 2 guard or a 3, in todays NBA, it really doesn't matter. In most cases they are interchangeable, with switching defenses.

I think Mario has more potential than anyone you listed, with the exception of Drummond and maybe wiggins, I believe he can be better than Klay with more athletic ability. Like I said his ceiling is way up there. Would you trade a way more athletic Peja when he was a rookie? That is who he reminds me of.

I can not think of someone who I would trade for Mario right now. Unless its a Durant type player. I want to see what kind of player he becomes, because his ceiling is very high, and could not stand seeing him put up all star numbers with a different team. MH is so young right now, who knows how he will develop. My wife even said, he looks so young out there. Could be a stud when he matures, at least that's what we are hoping for.

Please NO on that thought. He is toothpick thin with no shot, We already have a beefier version in Dedmon.

If Skiles thinks that Frye and Vuch should be on the court at the same time then I question his competence. If he is preaching defense, he might want to play guys that can defend.

I hope he is just wanting Payton to work on staying in front of his man. Defending Oladipo should make both better. But IF he is thinking about taking Payton out of the starting lineup and starts hurting this kids confidence, then I want Skiles gone ASAP!! Really hoping that is not the case.

I like Shabazz, but his defense and court vision is not close to Payton's. I don't think we need another score first point guard as our starter. Coming off the bench will be very nice as Napier is not identical talent and can change the look on offense.

Wow did that look like Jameer or what? Almost exactly the same crossover that he made on a regular basis. A little more elevation by Napier though. Very Nice. I will be happy to see that in the regular season. Hope he gets some burn and not all Watson with the second unit.

The Magic, Pistons, Celtics were the last legitimate undaunted teams the conference had left till it succumbed to LeBron James. The teams nowadays are just placeholder teams doomed to a predetermined fate of failing in the playoffs. As to pulling all the starters at one time, I think it is quietly sending an early message to them that he wont put up with lack of effort and energy on defense. Otherwise why do it all at once? Nicholson looked fantastic and I have a really hard time saying that, but indeed he did. Evidently playing for the Canadian team has really upped his game, at least tonight. Mario is super smooth, his handles need some improving though. But his shot is pure and can shoot off the dribble. My Illinois boy Egwu looked impressive on defense at times, I wish him luck, though I doubt he makes the team. Didn't see much of the first half, Interesting that Skiles pulled all five starters at once 4 minutes into the second half as they had lost the lead. Sending a message, maybe?

I just looked at our roster and Tyler Harvey is not on it. Anyone know why? He can really shoot the rock, I guess we don't need that. lol

How bout a trade for deangelo. before Dipo bolts when the contract ends. We don't need another player who craves the bright lights. I get the vibe he wants those big lights. Though Russell seems the same type, so that might not be good either.

Shard on his last legs lasted how many more years in the league? Gilbert on Zero legs was done and Otis knew it, but threw his buddy a very Large money bone. Otis should have never been hired as a GM, he is barely fit to be a scout.
