Not every rookie plays the summer league anymore?
-
I don't think having the endorsement of the guy we just fired is exactly what's gonna win people over, just saying.
-
A less explosive better shooting 3 isn't AD.
I meant it as a versatile big instead of a tall wing.
Isaac isn't a big man, he's a tall man (and yes there is a difference). He's only a 3 at this level.
-
I was waiting for someone to try to compare Isaac to AD.
-
Issac will prove to be the best Magic draft pick since Dwight Howard.
That's not saying much.

I hope I'm wrong, I really do. It would be good for the Magic and it would be good for FSU if Isaac became a star, but I just don't see it. We already went over how timid he is, he also can't create his own shot, can't create for others, and will only be able to play the 3 at the next level.
If his shooting improves, he's a taller Ariza. If it doesn't, he's a taller Harkless.
-
My point wasn't so much me saying LeBron lacks killer instinct. It was a reference to a thing we've all heard talking heads say.
Point being, Isaac is timid AF.
-
Y'all know I love my Noles but I hate the Isaac pick. Yanno how people say LeBron lacks the killer instinct? Yeah, Isaac makes LeBron look like Ted Bundy. His ceiling is Trevor Ariza. Should have picked Smith.

You might want to check your math. The estimated state tax rate for Orlando players is 2.92%, and the rate for Chicago players is 4.72%, a difference of 1.8%. Based on a 2 year salary of $47M, he is only losing $846,000.
My bad.
-
It's apparently 2 years 47.5 mill for Wade.
That comes out to less money than $40M in Miami after taxes.
-
maybe we should pray for the rose/Jennings resurgence.
That just helps their trade value. Our only hope is Dolan does a Dolan lol.
-
not as crazy as you'd think. Everyone could offer Durant. only about a dozen teams are in the running for Westbrook. Sacramento, New York, Denver, Utah, Atlanta, Boston, Minnesota, phoenix, Brooklyn, Chicago, philly. and this is based on teams not adding any other free agent money now.
you could cut down half of those teams based on performance or weather.
so if we're 1/6 that's about a 16% chance of getting him.
If the Knicks have cap space it's over for everyone else. That fashionista is gonna wanna live in Manhattan. Plus they have a not so terrible team now.
-
Haralabob lives in Monaco
That's a good one too.
-
Is this comment a joke? I don't see the humor on any level.
I mean, Amsterdam would be pretty damn fun if you're young and rich.
-
It's a financial thing. An extension now starts at 19 million. Next years max contract is like 31 million
What's the difference in price if he goes elsewhere? You can make some of that money back going to Miami (let's be honest, Riley is always in the mix) on taxes. I know not all of it but a good chunk.
-
Well duh. Who wants to be young and rich but living in Oklahoma City?
-
That's an intriguing package for the Thunder, though I feel they'd probably want to flip Rubio elsewhere. That would make Minnesota very dangerous.
You're right. Three way trade, send Rubio to Sacramento and Cauley-Stein to OKC.
Minny gets: Westbrook
OKC gets: Dunn, LaVine, Cauley-Stein, Minny pick(s)
Sacramento gets: Rubio
-
No way OKC signs off on that. They would at minimum want Wiggins or Towns if not both.
Yeah they're not gonna get that. You never get equal value when you trade a star away. The only question about that package is whether or not another team in the league can top it.
And remember the team that trades for Westbrook is gonna want an extension signed or no deal, so something like Chicago trading Jimmy Butler is off the table. Gonna be tough to find a better package than that Minny one.
-
Dunn, Rubio, LaVine, and picks for Westbrook. Big three of him, Wiggins and KAT.
-
Let's lose em both. Evan and Vuc for Paul George. :shard:
-
I wanted to trade Dwight for Westbrook back in the day but y'all were like nooooooooooo.
-
Luckily for them, they don't need your help Mr. NBA team Exec.
Well they needed A team exec's help.
-
Sam Amico @AmicoHoops
One NBA team exec who says he was previously interested in trading for Andrew Bogut texts he's no longer interested. "I'm not helping them."

LET'S GOOOOOOO LOL

Brian Windhorst reporting that OKC will look to extend Westbrook now. If he's unwilling, Presti will explore the trade market. Wow!!!
Jrue, Reke, picks, and whatever else. Wait, wrong board. Actually the Pels don't have enough fans to have a board. Kinda sad.

There will be a team more upset than us that they didn't get Smith. Knicks just fired Phil, and in the most Knick way they could: after the draft.
