The Hawks are going to come back to Earth, it's just by how much. I think we can all agree on that. Apparently I think they're going to fall harder than the rest of you.
-
I forgot they got Hardaway and Splitter. Even still, the real place where our opinions differ is (it sounds like) you think Atlanta was a legit east contender. I'm not saying the Hawks got the one seed on accident but...the Hawks got the one seed on accident.
-
I think Atlanta misses the playoffs next year. Not that Demare Carroll is all world or anything, but he was kinda important, and Atlanta massively overachieved last year. They're a 4-6 seed that just lost a starter. Can say the same thing about Washington, but their stars are extremely young so they should both be better next year, in turn the team is better.

Sick on 2k tho.

I feel like he'll be one of those guys that's stuck in Tweenerville that you could never trust with starters minutes. Which if that's the case, I would absolutely take Favors. If Gordon reaches the potential people think that's great, because that means the Magic will probably win a ring or two. I'll sriracha mayo with my crow if it happens.

You can believe in the team without believing that Aaron Gordon is the second coming of Karl Malone. Crazy, I know.
-
Intelligent post as usual, I just don't believe Gordon will reach the potential that folks on this board believe. I would love to be wrong though.

Every day of the week.

Nah, saying Becky Hammon is married would be very bad news.

Believe me, I would love to end up being wrong.

I think he's the love child of Tyrus Thomas and Josh Smith.
-
I would give my honest opinion of Aaron Gordon, but this forum would roast me for it.
-
Maybe instead of having 6 retired for no reason at all we should retire 12 to get rid of the bad juju!
-
In a vacuum, I agree. But if the god damn Suns can be legitimately in the hunt for him we could at the very least get a meeting.
-
I only knew because I remember watching him play for the national team during Olympic trials before London. Their coach is actually Calipari lol.
-
God damn right I would.
-
Oh I agree that he isn't a fit here, was just saying that he could down the road become a good player and not just a guy that tries hard. Joakim was a seven foot Rudy when he came into the league and became a legitimate All Star.
-
Hustle sometimes turns into talent. Look at Joakim.

He's from DR so he doesn't have any Florida ties other than the school. The good news is that Orlando is a notorious bandwagon town when it comes to College sports. Whoever has the best record between UF, FSU and Miami is the city's team for that year. So...as far as Al knows Orlando is very pro Gator, maybe we can sign him before he finds out otherwise?

Loaner system and every NBA team having their own D-League affiliate (which, Silver is actually working on that one) would be amazing.
-
Defense in the NBA consists of athleticism and effort, that's it. It's the NBA, so everyone has the athleticism part down. So honestly, the only thing stopping Tobias from being a decent or even a good defender is his own work ethic.

So I also root for the Pelicans along with the Magic. I live in New Orleans and they're in separate conferences so it isn't that hard. Greg Monroe, who is from New Orleans, has been BEGGING Dell Demps to bring him in for a meeting. Instead, they throw $60M at Omer Asik who has been beyond terrible ever since he left Chicago. The move prolly takes the Pels out of the Durant sweepstakes. Long story short, I try to cheat and root for two teams and I'm still never gonna see a championship. :svgsad:

Shaq left us while we were a contender and had a top ten player in the league as his teammate to go to a Laker team that was as bad as they are now. EDIT: You obviously meant Jerry as a GM. I'm high right now forgive me lol.
