    Stand for Van Gundy

svg has to offer something, almost every team in need of a hc has interviewed him. he's turned down the pacer job and sac town wants him now. for one he wanted to come here, he called the magic to let them know he was interested. his family lives here. he will probably work his *ss off to make this team better. two, you cant ignore the job he did in miami before pat riley took over. CAREER COACHING REGULAR SEASON POST SEASON YEAR TEAM WINS LOSSES PCT WINS LOSSES PCT 2003 Miami 42 40 .512 6 7 .462 2004 Miami 59 23 .720 11 4 .733 2005 Miami 11 10 .524 0 0 .000 TOTALS 112 i really cant believe this. im trying to convince myself that svg is a good coach. i will welcome svg for the simple fact that he WANTS to be here. remember: players win 'ships not coaches.

What do you think is going to happen ???

i think what is being reported is true. i think otis and bvw are talking to svg and getting him to sign a contract(make sure he is not going to sac town). i think they should tell billy do-over to hold his own press conference to announce he changed his mind and is staying at florida. after that p.c. otis will announce svg as hc

    to release a player?

can anyone tell me the conditions needed to release a player. does it still go against your cap. will it come off if another team picks him up.
  7. my reaction was tainted by the fact that, as soon it was announced it seemed like the whole city went crazy. initially i got caught up in the hype. now that ive gotten to think about it for a while, i still think its a great hire, he will install the type of offense our players want to play. but to win championships you need players. players win 'ships not coaches. donovan will sell out the arena, and bring excitement to orlando, and with that comes expectations. otis and donovan have a very critical offseason. the players that they bring in and ship out, are as important as ever. they do have a good start with howard and jj. i mention jj and not trevor or milicic because jj can score from anywhere on the floor, and is a huge 3pt threat, which opens the floor for dwight. trevor and milicic although showed signs of greatness were still inconsistant. jameer is a good scorer but needs work on his d. g.hill the best player on the team for the last month of the season, but his future is uncertain. so for donovan to be successful it all comes down to the players. and thats what biily d said at his pc he is just a piece of the puzzle. i think he was one of those really hard pieces that you look for for days. and when you find it, the rest of the puzzle kind of falls right into place. lets hope so, not just for billy but more importantly the fans of the orlando magic. peace out

i seem to be fighting a loosing battle, in which i would like to get a pg this summer. therfore after hearing otis and donovan say we need a wing scorer, it comes down to vince, g.wallace, and r.lewis. one insider says forget about vince. so im going with g.wallace simply because he's cheaper than r.lewis. ive not seen g.wallace or r.lewis play, so i cant comment on thier game. so i guess the lineup looks like this meer arroyo wallace jj ariza g.hill milicic battie howard augie i think hedu gets traded, otis has commented during the year that hedu has this "mysterious illness" that causes him to miss games.

I think JJ would be great as a first guy off the bench, but that's a secondary issue. My main concern, and one reason I like Wallace, is because he can play the 2, 3 or 4, allowing him to play at the same time as JJ or Trevor. And yes, you can come to my party, although it'll likely be a spiritual one. i would have no prob with that, sounds pretty good. my concern is pg defense meer has offense but no d. and with all the dribble penetration we had on us last year i think we need an upgrade. i would even go with dooling.

ill give you a pass on that one. even though it clearly says bhill didnt say anything and it was schmitz reading tween the lines, and we all know how good he is at that. just yesterday he wrote that we had no chance of landing donovan. http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/sports_magic/2007/05/with_marcaroni_.html seriously you would rather spend 10m yr on a guy you havnt seen play alot, then to play the guys we have (jj,ariza)

Could you please show me the talent because I'm having a trouble seeing it as well. We don't have a good PG. We don't have a good SG. Our SF wants to retire. For some reason Battie, who sucks, is a starter and Darko is just OK. They all have talent, yes, but how much? Dwight has tons of potential, but wasn't developed at all by Brian Hill. I don't see much of the talent other than Dwight. formula, i would make an appt. with an eye dr. if i were you.

its useless. jj was the goto guy at duke. every single team knew who was getting the ball. every single oppossing teams fans were all over this guy, did it bother him? did he succeed? STOP thinking like brian hill, i think hes brain washed you guys. put jj on the floor and he will score. he can be our goto guy in the clutch 'cause hes done it for 4 yrs at duke.

Otis has said time and time again that jameer will be the starter. He believes that jameer is just as important as dwight. And im this confident because hes never tip toed around or carefully worded anything when it came to meer, and hes reoccurring statement is that jameer will start for this team come reg season. did you catch the last interview 740 had with otis?
