In other news.... 9 mins ago - via Twitter ShamsCharania Shams Charania: The Knicks have held preliminary discussions with free agent vet Willie Green, speaking twice since midnight, league sources tell RealGM. Free Agency, Willie Green, New York Knicks

Depends on how you look at it. Orlando has a ton of room to improve. Atlanta? Ehhh.
-
Have to think that signing a guy who can actually score will help Oladipo a ton
-
State income tax ;)
-
He is, wrong use of the word "match" on my part. I meant more so that if Atlanta ponies up the same offer, which I believe they have, and he elects to stay with the Hawks, they're immediately put in a pretty tight salary situation. Until the cap spikes, anyway
-
Well of course, but I've thought for awhile that Harris is what he is at this point in his career (not that my opinion matters in this instance). It's a calculated risk, for sure. Worst case scenario, Atlanta matches and we put a division rival in salary cap hell for a few years
-
More complete offensive game, better scorer, slightly better rebounder, better defender. Harris might be a tad more athletic.
-
He's a better version of Harris and is a better fit at the 4
-
He's been tied to Detroit for a little while now
-
Harris isn't the end-all-be-all of this team's success and to act otherwise is just foolish. He's a large contributor, but certainly replaceable.
-
Blake Griffin-Hasheem Thabeet was pretty huge John Wall and Evan Turner Kyrie Irving-Derrick Williams Anthony Bennett and Oladipo :shard:
-
People are acting like we're losing a perennial all-star in Harris
-
Luke Ridnour traded again lol
-
Writer for SheridanHoops, supposedly
-
Tiago Splitter is on the block
-
Guy hasn't even landed in Orlando and we're already worried about him leaving 7-8 years from now?
-
You should be elated if he becomes anything close to those guys
-
- excited to have been drafted - feels he can be a spark off the bench with his ability to score - leaves tomorrow for Orlando - had a 1 foot growth spurt between high school and now That's about it. Wasn't a whole lot in the interview itself, but still cool to see your second round pick getting interviewed
-
He's shot 37% thus far in his career. I'd love Favors though
-
He's far from underrated, imo
-
Makes too much sense for that to happen
-
Nice strawman. FYI, I'm not huge on Harris, but I think with the way the cap is expected to increase, $12M/yr or whatever isn't terrible. But if he's going to get a max offer sheet... Yeah, then you have a decision to make. On the flip side, Harris is arguably our best scorer right now and I don't think Gordon or whoever else can fill that void at SF/PF... Unless I'm forgetting someone
-
I see your point. We're set at the wings and need a backup PG, as you said. I'm just curious as to what kind of money Koufos gets
-
I don't think a backup center playing 10 minutes a night is the same thing
-
Sure, but it is worth going and paying a guy like Kuofos when you already have a moderately serviceable backup? I just think the money could be better used elsewhere, but that's just me
