    The End is Near.......

Good players can only take so much before they start to get frustrated with their teamates lack of playmaking ability. It's not the fact that we can't play defense, it's the fact that our offense runs at about 75% of its potential with our inept point guards. With the amount of firepower that the Magic have shown with pointguards that are unwilling to distribute the ball only imagine what we could do with a true court general with some great vision and creativity. Dwight would run the floor every single time if he knew he had someone that would feed him a highlight real dunk...and the things that Rashard could do slashing to the rim and spotting of for three. I think all the players realize that the PG position is holding them back and the more times Dwight is missed in the post, the more times Rashard backdoor cuts and does't get the prize, the more you will see them jog back on D, lose interest in the game, and just sit back and watch our guards pound the ball through the ground untill the clock strikes 5.

    The End is Near.......

Do some research??? Watch a basketball game you clown. Its obvious that the Magic have no offensive movement and other than the fact that we have some terrific individual talents that can score the ball no matter what the situation, this team has zero chemistry on the offensive end. The small line up works terrific with a great point guard (Ex: pheonix, New Jersey a few years back) But it is not effective when guys are standing around and shooting bad shots. That being the case Dwight still dominates boards just because he is a freak. So yeah, go talk to all your carney friends over summer and see who is talking about 14 games over 500 when a team out west is wearing rings.

The things Dwight could do with some talented passers...

If you caught the all-star game you saw first hand what many Magic fans have bee screaming for the last few season...JUST THROW IT UP TO DWIGHT!!!! Granted it was an allstar game and there is little effort on defense but I thought it was great to watch Dwight playing with superstar passers like Lebron and Kidd. The thing Dwight has going for him is that there is only one person in the world that can catch a ball as high ad Dwight can and and apparantley noone on the Magic know of this but Lebron and Kidd do. So when you see Jameer and Carlos missing out on opportunities to give Dwight the ball when he is running the break (which he can do better than any big man in the league) just think what kind of monster he truly could be.

Rashard Lewis #9 - GREAT Small Forward/Bad Power Forward

The one thing I do not understand is why we are playing Rashard out of position. He is not a Power Forward. I think we will be better off playing Augustine as a starter and bringing Hedo off the bench or playing the 2 guard. Lets not forget WE ARE MISSING OUR STARTING POWER FORWARD and this is causing problems. Lets either get a legit forward in there or just accept the fact that we are going to run into problems regarding size, rebounding, and Rashard production.

Rashard Lewis #9 - GREAT Small Forward/Bad Power Forward

I think we should bring Turk off the bench. Don't get to upset he will still play serious minutes and undoubtedly be in at crunch time but I think this dynamic off the bench would give us an edge. Mo's D is refreshing and mix that up with Hedo's sick offense. Howard Cook Lewis Evans Nelson With Hedo and Dooling off the bench thats a good mix of Offense and Defense. If Cook would keep up this great play we would have a lot of depth and a nice balance on the floor..... Do work Stan....BOOOOOOOOYA

Did anyone see Kobe talking smack last night to a few Magic players?

dude just keep it to I love carlos arroyo posts. saying you would take "many" players over Kobe is just ignorant.

    howard is way overrated ..

If you think he is overrated then pretend the Magic just landed the number one pick out of college. But instead of four years playing against college chumps, he did his four years in the NBA playing against the worlds best. So basically Dwight is in his rookie year. Think of it that way...Dwight is not overrated.

Arroyo doing what he is told.

Even the guys on ESPN say that both of our guards are weak. Greg Anthony and Mashburn both said that we wont go far in the playoffs because of our POINT GUARDS.

Shaq and Haslem a possibility in Orlando?

wow, this is brilliant, how did you think of this?

I'm proud of Carlos and I suport him

Maybe all your love for Carlos will bless him with a jump shot and some court vision, and great stamina so that he can continue to dribble the ball in the same spot till the end of time.

Thats the pick and roll they need to be running. The Hedo Dwight high pick is unstoppable.

The pick and roll isn't effective when teams are wanting Arroyo to shoot the ball at the top of the key. They don't respect his shot and he isn't comfortable shooting that shot. Run it with Turk and sweet Lew already

Hedo might as well be our point guard

Posted by serviviente: This is so ridiculus that it merits no response. You will never see the day where Hedo will take our pg play so that we can insert another big guy. Bringing the example of Magic, argubly one of the best 3 players to ever play the game and compare his unique ability to a guy who is just having the season of his life its another anormality. About Howard not getting the ball fast enough? Yeah Ewing still need to keep working with him to secure his position faster. Granted he is being double team 80% of time but our coach also wants Hedo to touch the ball as much as posible. I am sure glad you are not the coach. Hedo is having a terrific season i agree but lets not get crazy and start thinking that he is the second coming of any of the "greats" that played the game. Alright Dude, first of all this isn't a comparison between Hedo and Magic Johnson, it was just an example of how you can utilize a big man shoot, dribble, and pass like Hedo. Second, this post was originally supposed to be about Hedo taking more of the responsibilities of the point guard late in the games and most people took it as that untill you started blabbing about Hedo not being able to dribble down court and him not being to blow by point guards and all this other nonsense. Anyway, just get a clue before you go talkin trash cause you make yourself look like a clown. Oh yea and I missed the game where teams are starting to double team Dwight while he is fighting for position before he even gets the ball. I would like to see the Mavs Dampier and Dirk both down low tonight shoving Dwight trying to wrestle him out of the paint before the ball crosses half court.

    Eatern Conference Asst/TO leaders

this means absoluteley nothing considering Arroyo averages only 3.7 assists per game. That means for he only has about 4 assists per game and 1 turnover. For a starting point guard this stat really doesn't make a difference either way. 4 Assists per game is nothing to cheer about and 1 turnover per game is nothing to lose sleep about. I don't care what the stat is Carlos needs to pass the ball more effectively.

Hedo might as well be our point guard

Welcome to the forum! Now we all know you must not have much basketball iq! The reason Carlos or Nelson pass the ball to Hedo so much is because SVG is taking advantage of Hedo position! He can easily go by his defender on most nights! Its all about exploting his position. On top of that he is also a good passer and sees the floor very well, but if you were to have him play pg then the exact opposite will happen. The opposition guard will drive by him and it will be a joke. He will not be able to defend the position. That is also why he is having such a great year. This is also why is also unrealistic to expect from our guards to average 9 *** per game. Hedo has the ball on the offense a good 20% of the time and he "takes" away a couple of their assist from them. So it has nothing to do with giving the ball to Hedo not to "risk" a TO. One last thing if our players will get their to their offensive schemes a little faster maybe there is no need to wait for them for 15 seconds. Hey watch some basketball...its good for you. Its good to see someone write with such confidence and yet be so clueless. You speak basketball IQ and it's funny how you bring up Hedo not being able to guard point guards. I think back to the late 80's and I don't recall seeing Magic chasing Isiah around for 48 minutes....oh wait...Magic is one of the greatest point guards in NBA history and probably never matched up with the oposing teams point guard. That being said, your basketball IQ is probably soaring right now. Lets now talk about the fact that you think if Hedo controlled the ball oposing teams would still match up their point guard on him...yea I'm sure Coach Popavich is gonna have Tony Parker guarding Turk because he is now controlling the ball...and on your last point about getting into the offense a little faster, how about the point guards getting the ball to Dwight a little faster when he has his man pinned in the paint for about 8 seconds before he gets called for 3 seconds, or how about they get the ball to Turk a little sooner so that he doesn't have to desperation shots to bail out his guards. Anyway, nice talk...and yea get a freakin clue before you continue to make a fool of yourself.

Hedo might as well be our point guard

Instead of having Arroyo dribble the ball for 15 seconds and handing it to Turk 35 feet away from the basket, lets just let Hedo play point guard. Arroyo just looks to give Hedo the ball as soon as he crosses the half court line anyway so instead of risking turnovers when Arroyo is trying to get Hedo the ball (Celtics game Arroyo had a turnover in the last seconds and tonight made another terrible play) Just give Hedo the ball on the inbound and play another big man.
