Bad move by the Sixers, they will deflate when Dwight shows up for game 6...
Do Work Stan .... BOOYAAKASHAA replied to Do Work Stan .... BOOYAAKASHAA's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Dwight has never had an incident before so I think the commish will take that into consideration. Lets also not forget that Dwight is the NBA's leader in All Star voting so this isn't exactly something the league would benefit from. Although we all know the elbow was intentional, the footage isn't 100% clear cut that it was done on purpose. Plus it's about time Dwight defended himself since the refs won't. Ater getting beat up every single night, not to mention Ratliff grabs him by the arm and almost body slams him but that is just called a personal foul....its all blulsiht. -

This was a bad move on the part of the Sixers coach to go crying to the league officials by basicall asking them to suspend Dwight. To me it looks like a last resort tactic for a chance to win the series. He now has his players hoping that Dwight will not be able to play and mentally that is not how you want to get ready for a big playoff game. This will show when they come out flat and Dwight puts up his first 30/30 game in Philly. Dwight does not have a history of playing dirty so I don't think that the league will suspend him. -

Has Courtney Lee lived up to your expectations?
Do Work Stan .... BOOYAAKASHAA replied to IronMaiden's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
A first round pick that actually resides in the USA and actually got some playing time his rookie year.....ABOVE EXPECTATIONS. He is a good player and he is only going to get better. He needs some confidence!!!!!!! Shoot the ball C-Lee or take it strong to the rack!!!!! -
Could Dwight put up a 50/20 night?
Do Work Stan .... BOOYAAKASHAA posted a topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Dwight is going to have 50 points and 20 rebounds tonight vs. the Raptors. Ok maybe not tonight but you think that is something he could do and has anyone else ever done that? (I'm sure Wilt has done it) -

I suggest following these steps before you go to get some autographs..... 1. Make sure you are not over the age of 13. 2. If you are over the age of 13, make sure you are getting the autograph for someone who is under the age of 13. 3. If you are over the age of 13 and you are not getting the autograph for someone under the age of 13 then follow these steps... First, get together your t-shirts, hats, trading cards or whatever useless piece of memorabilia you want to get signed. Next, lay them out on your Transformers bed spread. Next, find a black or blue sharpie. Next, go ahead scribble whatever name you want signed on your stuff.(Be sure not to mark up your sweet bed spread.) Finally, put all of your useless gear back in the closet where they came from and ask every person that comes into your house if they want to see your Magic autographs.

It was a tough loss lastnight but I am very happy that for once the Magic actually looked like they were pissed off that they were the losers. No smiles, no joking, no hugs with the other squad. I think these guys are starting to get serious. On a side note I think Rafer brings a toughness that we really needed. He plays with attitude and I like it.

It's not hard to understand, you just don't agree. If you work hard and prepare for something then you go to battle and play with high intensity for 48 minutes and lose...then being dissapointed and a little upset is an emotion that I would want my players to have. So if they can hide this emotion and continue to joke and laugh on the bench during a tough loss even though they are truly pissed off then I suppose there is nothing wrong with it. However, I don't think that's the case. -

Good one on the Burger flipping blast....maybe one day when you gain enough coordination to dribble a ball and run your dumb mouth you can tie up the laces on your $300.00 pair of Nikes that have never touched a basketball court and try playing a competitive sport. -

I don't want my team to ACT like they are pissed off I want them to actually get pissed off. If you are a competitor then you don't like to lose. Plain and simple. Some guys don't mind losing as long as they are getting paid, probably about 95% of pro athletes. The great ones like Jordan, Bird, Magic don't like to lose in a game of paper rock scissors. So if you want your players to be giggling and telling jokes after a nail biting loss then you want a team that doesn't really mind losing. Not Champions -

Don't get playing with focus and intensity confused with being a bad sport. Shaq talking trash about Dwight is bad sportsmanship. Shaq playing a game focused to the point where he doesn't want to high five and joke around with his openents or teamates in my opinion is the type of intensity I would like to see Dwight have (Not always ofcourse but in a conference rival its a must) It was nice to see a physical game with players actually looking like they are trying to give a little extra to win the game. Disapointing loss for sure but it was one of my favorite games to watch this season. -

Things I think that a Orlando sportswriter should bring to the table...

It's unfortunate that someone with a press pass and access to players and coaches always has to resort to nothing more than "Forum BS" By "Forum BS" I mean the same crap that is posted on here about JJ needs more playing time, Jameer shoots too much, the latest, Dwight needs to run his mouth to Shaq bla bla bla. Do some actual reporting on something relevant and bring something to the table that any joe shmoe with a laptop can't come up with on his own and put on the internet. I read this terrible article and it's a joke. Then I read the Yahoo article about the same topic and it brings some insite, some behind the scenes info. and regardless of how you feel about the situation it gives you relevant info. Common dude gives us something more than this cheesey articles that are meant to strike a nerve, we get enough of that on the forum. GIVE US SOMETHING INTERESTING AND RELEVANT -

C-Lee at point guard will bring us back to the top
Do Work Stan .... BOOYAAKASHAA posted a topic in Orlando Magic Forum
At some point Stan the Man has to realize that these two has-been PG's are not going to get the job done. He needs to start Courtney at the point and have him learn on the fly for the second half of the season so they are playing well when playoff time comes around. He has the talent, I think his 4 years in college will help him learn the game quickly, and I think his size will create instant mismatches with other point guards in the league. He will be able to D up and muscle around smaller guards in the league. His jump shot is beautiful and I think Stan needs to give this a shot. Remember when Rodney Stuckey was given a chance to play last year with the Pistons he played great and I think he and Lee are similar type players, except Lee has a much better jumper. If we somehow land a true point guard then obviously noone would be wanting to push Lee over to that position. The point is if we DON'T get a quality point guard through trade then I am certain Lee is a better option to start than AJ or Lue. If he gets the starting minutes this means AJ and JJ would be getting the back up minutes at there respective positions and I think these two are more capable of playing back up minutes but we would still be very thin off the bench. The rotation would look like this... Lee Peitrus Turk Lewis Dwight One thing I think we will see a lot more of now that Jameer is out is going to be a line up with Dwight and Battie at the 4 and 5 and Lewis playing a lot more 3 guard. Its going to be interesting to see if Stan the Man turns the switch on this 3 point shooting team and turns them into a big front line team that dominates the post and paint. He can do this by playing 3 7'0 footers at the 3,4 and 5 -

I think this is the x-factor in this decision...How good can Lee get at the PG position if he gets starters minutes opose to how much better can noneck and former braids get. To me it doesn't matter who plays where, but I feel that come playoff time Lee will be way ahead of the game. AJ and TLue are maxed out washed up guards. I think he would be up for the challenge and I think his basketball IQ is a lot higher then he gets credit for. He looks to be a hard worker and after all he can DEFEND and KNOCK DOWN OPEN SHOTS -

I dont understand the trade for Lue. Was he expected to be any kind of an asset or did we just need another body? -

ball handling has nothing to do with it. He handles the ball well enough to get the ball up the court. The court vision and the passing is much more important. -

Do Work Stan .... BOOYAAKASHAA replied to Do Work Stan .... BOOYAAKASHAA's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
I think the main point here is that AJ and TL are farily weak back up point guards in this league and there is no chance either of these two can lead a team. I bring up Lee because he is young, he would probably love the challenge, and he is raw talent, a sweet jumper, good D, athletic, and lastly, are only hope unless we make a trade. I just think with the opportunity is right to give it a shot. The upside is he plays well and he grows greatly as a player this year, the downside would be that he plays about average and I think his average would still be better than our other options. -
