I cant watch the game but I was just looking at the shot chart on espn and it looks like dwight is hitting those 7-9ft jumpers prety nicely.. for those of you watching, is he looking impressive? How huge would it be if he starts hitting those all the time?!?!

John Amaechi is one of the smartest people I know! How could you possibly consider him?

  6. In other news, he added a new feature to his blog that is pretty sweet. Certainly describes how he is feeling about this issue. http://www.redicklive.com/redick/index

Chris Webber back in two weeks

I have a feeling he might be here. We have a good chance to go deep and he probably feels like he can put us over the top. Plus he gives us an opportunity to have an actual power forward and see what Shard gives us at SF. Also, if we sign him for two years, next year he would be an expiring at the trade deadline and perhaps we could package him for someone else. Seems like a win-win so long as chemistry issues don't arise.

Fans Game Thread * Magic @ Clippers * Jan. 9

I had seats right behind the Magic Bench tonight. It was pretty fun. He're a lil' recap of my experience: Well I got to the game waaaay early so I could watch the warmups. Only a couple of guys came over to sign stuff. Jameer signed for little kids and Foyle signed for a few people. I asked Keyon to sign and he said he was in a hurry and couldn't. Dwight was the last one to come off the floor and I shouted to him. He came over and signed for me a few other people. Really cool of him. Otis hung around during warmups and I said hello to him and something like "Good job they're doing great this year!" He gave me a quick thanks and went back to watching the warmups. I really wanted to tell him that I ran the Brian Hill website, but I couldn't muster the guts. I just wanted to see his reaction. It was Turkish night so the entire place was swarming with HEdo fans. The crowd literally felt like a home crowd at time because of this. I kid you not, almost the ENTIRE east side of the arena was filled with Hedo fans. I sat right behind Stan for most of the night. I was also sitting right by Matt Leinart and he called out "HEY REDICK!" to JJ a few times, as if the were old pals. Brian Cook was standing up, blocking our view, for almost the entire fourth quarter! He had some friends in the crowd who were giving him a hard time for not playing. Someone yelled "Brian..tell Ron Jeremy to put you in!...Brian why aren't you playing?". Brian appeared to wait for Stan to look the other way and then sorta gestured at him with his hand and mouthed what i think was "because he's stupid!". He was clearly joking around though. My friend happened to be at the game with Joe Forte's son. He went into the locker room area after the game, so I'm waiting to hear how that went. Stan was fun to listen to. He has a funny way of yelling at the guys during time outs. Its almost comical. Things like "awwwwwwww maaaaaaaaaan! you're coming of that screen wrong EVERY SIGLE TIME!" He doesn't seem like an a-hole but still gets his point across. I like him more after watching him coach up close.

    Operation: Support

This is a GREAT idea. I think the focus should not be so much about his basketball troubles of late, but just to let Jameer know we are behind him. How about Friday night vs the Rockets? Or should it be a couple of weeks from now so we can spread the word? I can call Mike Bianchi and let him know about it. Lets get this together quick! Perhasps put up a quick website, or maybe myspace/facebook/evite? If you guys are down, we could get this together in a few days.

Hedo was monstrous tonight! I really like his versatility. He may have an all star year if he keeps it up!!!! 3 Magic players in the All-Star team? What a thought! Hey, I was in row AA tonight in 106!!!

Would Ron Artest put us on par with Boston and Detroit?

Artest might make us the "paper" favorite to win the east, but a lot of things look good on paper. As much as the idea excites me, I have a bad feeling. And the idea of a conversation between Dwight and Ron Artest just makes me chuckle. Ron: Hey Dwight, what'd you do last night? Dwight: Last night was crazy! I broke some stuff! Ron: Really? Me too! Dwight:Now I have to get a new Wii-mote! Ron: Now I have to get another beer...and that guy has to get another face. Dwight: Oh I love GTA! Wanna play Zelda?

SO, I took a long nap in the middle of Conseco Field House. How's Amaechi doing these days? Haven't heard from him in a while. Serious question. Honestly, I havent talked to him in a little while. I saw him aboout six months ago, and he was doing really well then. He was doing his book tour and dealing with that media circus, but he seemed to enjoy it.
