It was a nice thought, but we are gonna have to bank on Bass or Anderson becoming realistic playoff options.

A backup that barely got any run so now we have a solid back up for under 4 a year, why is anyone complaining about this? We've been looking at Duhon since we had Steve Francis on the roster, he gives us some size and defense at the point a place were we got beat up last year, what isn't there to like about this move? AJ made a hair over 2 mil for each of the last two years.

By the time he is developed, he will be up for a new contract. Trust me, he wouldn't play in Europe. Look at Brandon Jennings, he played about 15 minutes a game. I think Orton will develop more playing against Dwight. My point is that we wouldn't be paying him to sit on the bench and practice, and when he was finally ready to contribute he would be on the brink of free agency, forcing us into another Gortat situation.

I can dig it

When was the last time Orlando Magic had............

Hmmm. Upgrade players at certain positions. Thats a really good idea! -

Pat Riley is gonna retire in shame. They are gonna end up with Gilbert Arenas, Brendan Haywood, and Al Harrington.

That way, if the Dream Team doesn't come together, we should really have a leg up on the competition. The goal is a title - so if he thinks Chris Paul makes us capable of beating THAT kind of team...why back off that trade if they don't actually make it happen? Because if he thinks that the team he has can win a championship with some minor tweaks, he doesn't need to spend the extra money on payroll and long term contracts.

Knicks need a C and a PG. If Amare goes there I would call NO about Collison and Okafor for Curry's expiring.

We sign Steve Blake, let Barnes walk, match JJ's full mid level contract, and call it a day. We'd still be short a small forward unless Pietrus starts and Stanley Robinson becomes a mega steal as a rookie.

If Miller takes the Lakers offer, that's one less suitor for Blake.
