What would year 2 of Horford be, 28M? Him and Ibaka would be closer to 50 than 60. Pick and roll D would be better regardless with no Vuc, as would everything else.

He reminds me of what Leandro Barbosa is for GS. Vet guy who is ready to go when you call his number and wont rock the boat.

Ibaka could be the C with Horford the PF. Thats the beauty of them.

I still think that if Horford wants in you take him. Horford/Ibaka is a dream and can play both or either with Gordon. Worry about Vuc when the dust settles.

The benefit of Barnes is his versatility to play the 3 and 4 which is the benefit of Gordon. A Vuc move would have to come after or he basically becomes Marcin Gortat.

Yeah i botched the math. Without the PG swap and dumping Shabazz maybe gets you in Marvin Williams/Kent Bazemore territory.

I'd move Hezonja and Gordon together if they sent Portis back. Gibson is another guy on the last year of his deal. Vuc/Mario/AG/Watson for Butler/Gibson/Portis/Calderon Horford-Ibaka-Fournier-Butler-Payton Gibson-Portis-?-?-Calderon Extra money could go for backup wings, or a Barnes/Parsons and make Fournier the 6th man.

1) Bledsoe got 20.4 a game on 16 shots. Vucevic got 18.2 on 16 shots. Knight 19.6 on 17 shots. 2) Bender and Chriss are athletic stretch 4s. They would be perfect compliments to Vuc. They are also both 18 years old. Len and Chandler have zero offensive game. Chandler is also 33 and could ask for a trade to a contender.

Its a team with some vets that still lets Gordon, Fournier, Hezonja, and Payton develop. It lets them get a taste of the playoffs and teaches them how to win. You worry about the hypothetical star later. Golden State was back to back 6 seeds before the title season.

Initially it will be hated. If Ibaka looks good and we see Aaron becoming what we want the hate will subside.

He's attempted over 2000 3s in his career and made 38 percent of them so not too worried about the shot speed. You don' t bring him in has a starting 2 guard. You make him instant offense off of the bench and you hope he stays healthy with less minutes.
