This Boston team was down 2-0 to Chicago before Rondo got hurt and went 7 with Washington before getting dominated in the ECF. If Ainge had pulled the trigger on someone, yes they are clearly better, but he hasnt shown the ability to do that and they will have a really tough call to make on IT.

Better at 19 than AG at 19. Really needs strength but is smart and moves well. Handle isnt great which will limit his offense initially. All-NBA defensive potential and could score 17-20 ppg in a few years. Completely different physically but could have Ron Artest 2-way impact.

I agree. That's a contract to move next year when all these teams are staring at future tax payments.

Darrell Arthur might be able to fit that 4/5 emergency role that P4W talks about, but he is always hurt and has a 7.5M player option for next year that he will certainly exercise.

Not quite because he works best next to a forward who can create like PG/Hayward (with even Lance/Ingles as secondary), which we dont have anything close to resembling. Still makes us better and maybe Mario can still be that guy.

It's like we went to a car dealership to pick up a Gordon Hayward, but our credit wasn't good so they tried to get us into a Joe Ingles with low miles
