This trade does nothing. Lateral movement. I remember two years ago when everyone was blasting the Mozgov signing and then praising the Biyombo signing. Now the sentiment has flipped and the same posters saying Mozgov is better and brings "championship" experience. Some of you posters need to take the blinders off, look in the mirror and actually think, no critically assess, what just happened. Grant is now on his third team in what will be four seasons. And Mozgov (IMO) hasn't recovered from his shoulder injury, and only played 31, yes THIRTY ONE games last season (he sucks that much). Biz while not the best player, was at least healthy enough to provide minutes at his position. so yea, lateral movement. Expect Mozgov to be glued to his seat, and Grant to be a high risk, high reward type player. If he flames out we don't give him a QO.

this is basically what everyone said last year and look what happened. Isaac is basically a rookie so expect lots of mistakes. Bamba will make a ton too. You're also counting on IT being his former self. OTOH, the Wiz and Pistons are vet-heavy teams w/ all star talent. The Bulls were better than us last season and will be competing for that spot too. And the Hornets can't be discounted either w/ Kemba and Batum. I see us finishing tenth, maybe ninth.

yea because why bet on a 21 year old averaging 25 and shooting 38% from 3 being a bit better in a couple years time (when the extension would kick in any way)...C'mon Dan you can do better.

I don't buy that. The Cavs desperately needed a secondary ball-handler and scorer when James rests, and that's IT in a nutshell. He wasn't asked to defend or distribute the ball with his court vision. His injury situation was mismanaged since day one, and I won't buy that he's suddenly 100% healthy and return to 2017 form. If we get IT, it will be with the understanding that he'll have no pressure to perform and at the first sight of injury he will be shut down. Maybe he exerts himself in a few games but the rest will be closer to what we saw in LA, shooting nights like 5/12 or 6/16.

I think he can give 17 points a night. But are you okay with him taking 15 shots to do it? and are you okay with the rest of the players sacrificing shots for IT? Because I don't think he's getting to the line 8 times either.

everyone here is just trying to convince themselves it's a good idea so we can declare this offseason a success. I saw enough of IT on the Cavs and Lakers and he was nothing, nothing like what he was the previous year. He didn't have anywhere near the speed, burst, lift, or oomph in his game. He put up points because he played like a worse Iverson, pure volume. And because this roster is so devoid of offensive playmakers, he will be the de facto scorer and IMO will shoot us out of games.

lol QLED...sounds like typical Samsung marketing. If you're spending that much go w/ OLED, even if it's a smaller size. You'll thank me later.

the rap song was all jokes. Kuzma did a player haters ball roasting on Lonzo. There is nothing to indicate it's anything more than jokes. I do agree with the bolded, and Magic Johnson eventually told both players to quit the act.

He leaves. We lose our pick. We’re stuck with Batum for two more years. Our cap situation becomes even worse. And we have even less flexibility to make moves. Even if he stays you’re looking at a max contract of 5 years and up to $150 mil. That’s almost half your cap space on Walker and Batum, then add Gordon and Fournier and eventually Isaac. That team is capped to luxury tax and beyond, and at best a 5th seed. You’re better off letting Vuc and Ross expire, moving Biyombo with a minor pick, and selling Orlando to Kemba as a free agent. Even if you strike out on Walker you got Bledsoe, Rozier, even Irving to go after.

Ball and Deng easily. Biz and Augustin would expire same time as Deng. That’s $42mm coming off the books and EF on his last year. You could create so much space and wait till the end to extend Isaac. You're getting younger with ability to add a big free agent in the not so distant future. Kemba is good but you’re locked in with Batum. Better hope Batum finds his form otherwise he’s a more expensive Deng.

Oladipo had to be traded a couple times for him to get it. If he doesn't get traded he doesn't become an all NBA player. He was here three years and didn't work on his conditioning and body. The team moved on. Oladipo's situation has no relationship to Gordon. You can't be afraid to make a move to better the team, just because you think you made a mistake previously. Besides, the front office in charge now is not the same that traded Oladipo. We aren't sure how optimistic they are on Gordon, but we do know they've gauged his trade value. I'm guessing, if the team thinks moving him helps us more than keeping him, they will move him.

looks like pacers are tipping their hand. If you can't trade him, match the offer and move him next season.

vuc for Rivers, could've helped our back court. I bet we'll trade him for pick(s) at the deadline.

His offense is finishing at the rim...that's it. No face up game, only basic post moves, can't put the ball on the floor, and his shot (while probably not broken) is unproven. He's just efficient, as in DeAndre Jordan efficient.

lol sorry if i come off as negative, but we got a defensive player at pick six, through and through. Offensively, he's a complete mystery. Aside from finishing dunks, he didn't show much else at Texas. There are a ton of reasons to be skeptical.

we need offense in the worst way possible so I would take a strong look at him. Unfortunately we will not have space to sign him to a deal he probably wants (or can get elsewhere) so he would really have to like being here (maybe we promise to run the offense through him?)

Right now, Bamba is bigger and taller than everyone else. he needs to prove he can shoot, play in front of the rim, and generally contribute on offense sans finishing at the rim. Posting workout videos of his shot, i'm sorry that just doesn't do it for me. Until you see it translate it's the same as dwight shooting fts.

I don't get why we didn't trade up for Doncic either. Really disappointed. Taking on Baze is not a dealbreaker since we don't have cap space for two years anyway. We drafted another project big who will take years to contribute.
