  1. I'm really high on Roberson. Honestly though I don't think he's a 1st round pick. Draftexpress don't even have him in their mock draft. (ranked #67 by them, I think he'll get drafted because he can contribute right away as a rebounder and is a very good defender)

Either way I'd like to try and get him, if he's available with our 2nd rounder that would be awesome.

I know we interviewed him at the combine so there must be some interest assuming the interview went well.

Robertson if he´s available at our second should be selected, i don´t know if he can contribute immediately, but for sure hw would be a geat addition in the future.

I think also McCollum can be the steal of this draft. He has the tools to be a Tony Parker with a solid 3 point range.

  2. Biggest difference between the Heat and Magic: Heat got smart and hired Pat Riley to run the basketball ops and stay out of his way. Magic continue to hire rookies and have non basketball people leading the basketball operations. I hope Hennigan is what all of you hope he is.

    We all hope this.

  3. It's unbelievable what a great sport Pops is. His congratulations was so honest it almost took away the pain of being about to watch LeBron hoist a trophy... so I turned off the TV when Pops walked off the floor. Win or Lose the Spurs organization has class... win or lose the Miami organization has none.

    This.

The Spurs lost this series, that´s the truth. Zero class Lebron James.

  4. Some people doesn´t realize that when Miami plays hard defense sometimes, is almost impossible to score for the other team.

Manu is the only one in the Spurs that can take the ball and distribute. Parker can´t distribute the ball has Manu can.

Manu did awful mistakes on offense making bad passes, but you have give credit to the Miami defense.

Manu needs to show up, if he can, the Spurs can win in game 7. Also Parker needs to show up for Spurs.

  5. Manu plays the worst game in Nba career, probably. ut also the refs didn´t give him the call in the final that would give the Spurs the champonship.

Parker plays selfish all the game.

Lebron James almost cry int he game. I think that he was another player in Miami. But he isn´t, he isn´t a Winner.

Duncan was the only player that plays the way you have to int he finals.

  6. The only player that is a legitimate leader and winner in the Heat is Wade. Bosh played out of he´s actual level, he just get confidence.

The Parker injury is a concern for SA. And probably on the series.

Manu is shooting bad from last series against Golden State and Memphis. He lost confidence, but eh still help the team with great D and great passing. Splitter looks awful, and he ws block in too any plays, specially qhen Manu left him in a great position in the post.

Danny Green and Cory still shooting out of their minds.

  7. The apples and oranges referred to your mention of Chalmers, who was a Junior PG and had the ball in his hands 80% of the time. Yes he hit a shot to win an NCAA championship, but McLemore hit game winners also. I guess I don't know what you mean by "passion" when it comes to Chalmers and why you think he has it and McLemore doesn't? I mean its not something you can measure, its completely subjective.

I mentioned Lebron because early in his career, and even more recently, he has been criticized for deferring to teammates late in games and not taking the big shot (yes I realize he's also taken many over a ten year career) and you said it was because he was a team player, but then when critiquing McLemore, who also hit game winners as a freshman, you call the exact same behavior "passive/fear/not caring". The point of all this is that it seems some are trying to paint a picture of a guy who has some serious flaw, when its just as likely that he's simply a young guy who has some areas that need improvement. Example: If a guy doesn't feel confident that he can create a shot for himself, he may be more inclined to defer or not want the ball rather than fail. Once he improves his ability to create his own shot this may no longer be the case.

Of course is subjetive, there is not statics for "passion". It´s just my opinion. I don´t see him being passionate now and i don´t see him learning that. Im not saying he couldn´t be clutch, of course he can be. He hit shot winners in college, of course.

I don´t really like Lebron, i don´t hate him. but for sure i don´t like him at all. But im triying to be objetive with him. Wade is so far clutch and a winner than him. But lebron can hit a winner shots, and IMO he looks more confident with Wade and Bosh aorund him to don´t feel much pressure. I think he makes the other players better. James told Spoelstra to take him out because he was supposeldy tired, but was that? Or was the pressure? I don´t know. Maybe them both.

I prefer other players than Ben, but Ben would be fine for me if we select him.

  8. McClemore hit game winners too, so that sort of negates your point. Chalmers was a junior PG, so you're comparing apples and oranges there and what has Smart won exactly? I don't know how you measure "passion"? Is KG more passionate than Duncan because he screams obscenities all game long?

Its funny how someone defends a guy for passing up big shots by saying he's an "unselfish team player" but then critiques another player for the same behavior, but in the second case labels it "lack of passion/fear/not caring".

Apples and Oranges? You came with the example of Lebron not me, and Lebron is SF. But this isn´t a discussion about positions it´s about feeling of the game and passion. I never say that if you scream you will be more passionate player. I never say that.

I think James can take big shots and he taked in Cleveland. He is passionated and he wants ot win bad, and he also makes the other players around him better.

I don´t know what´s the big matter of thinking different, relax.

  9. How and why are people drawing these conclusions based on one year of college, during which McLemore hit at least two game winners that I'm aware of? Did he fail to demand the ball in some big moments down the stretch? Sure he did. Is this something that you might expect from a young guy under similar circumstances? I believe so. Does this mean that McLemore is somehow not a winner? Hell no. It simply means he either wasn't ready for the stage or currently lacks the aggressiveness/confidence to demand the ball and take the big shot. Hell, Lebron was deferring to teammates in clutch moments up to two years ago and no one has ever said he's not a winner (not comparing McLemore to Lebron btw). Btw, how many game winners did Danny Green make as a freshman at UNC? Doesn't McLemore deserve the shot to prove what he is before we start labeling him a "not a winner" aka "a loser"? I believe he does, whether its in a Magic uniform or otherwise

Do you really think that he has the passion? You can see the passion in EVERY SINGLE game in a player that has it. that doesn´t mean you are the best player, or even an all-star. Some players has the passion, some players don´t. Some players are winners, some players don´t. He´s young yeah, So? Just look Smart or even Chalmers when he was in college, just to name one or two.

Im not saying he is a loser. Im saying he has no passion for the game, and sometimes he just seems that he doesn´t care. Maybe fear?

Lebron is an unselfish player, he take and hit winning shots even in Cleveland, and then he was playing alone.

  10. How is "started in the Finals" a measure of how good a player is? If we're saying things like that then Trey Burke will never be as good as Derek Fisher since I cant imagine him winning 5 championships. Come to think of it, Chris Paul, Steve Nash, Jason Kidd... None of those guys can be as good as Derek Fisher.

In 4 years at UNC Green never put up the stats that McLemore did in his one year at Kansas and this year Danny Green averaged 14 points and 4 rebounds per 36, far from stellar numbers.

I'm not in any way sold on McLemore but I'd be surprised if he couldn't put up 14 points per 36 and shoot over 40% from 3 by the time he's reached his 4th year in the league.

    Agreed.

I still think that Green has more feel and passion for the game. Work Ethic and the Spurs organization made the rest. When you go to SA you know that your ego will be out og there and you will work hard every day to deserve you money.

We know how good works San Antonio with their players, and how they select them. If you won´t plat for the team, you are out, you will be benched.

McLemore doesn´t has the passion for the game, i won´t say that he won´t work hard, but he isn´t a winner. I guess Green doesn´t have the talent of McLemore, but you have to see him hitting 3´s in the finals against Miami, stopping Stephen Curry, and not being afraid of anything.

I would love to see Nash in SA or Kidd before the retiremente, they are players unselfish, they just want to make the team win.

  11. Let me just repost this, because it goes so good with yours.

My take on the Spurs/Heat from yesterday before the game:

If the Pacers werent so young behind the ears and undisciplined, they could of sent the Heat home. The Spurs are not those things that the Pacers were and make the most out of their possessions.

The Spurs have alot of bodys that can be physical, but also produce from various locations of the court. With a crippled Wade, a On/Off Bosh, and a crazy Bird... I dont see Lebron getting much help when the Spurs enforce their Defense.

Plus no one... has stopped the Spurs pick and roll with Tony and Tim... I dont see the Heat doing anything that hasnt been tried.

Spurs in 5. Miami has been known for dropping home games where the Spurs dont.

I agree with both of you.

The Spurs are WINNERS. The Spurs doesn´t have a major liability. The media just talk and talk about how old the Spurs are, but they still winning and make history.

    Spurs in 6.

  12. Karl is a great season coach and a poor playoffs coach. The teams that still has a chance to the title next season should go for Doc Rivers.

I don´t like Jennings, he has some talent, but he is a terrible shooter, specially for he´s selection. He couldn´t shot for a 40% on he´s entire career. And below the 30% in playoffs… i now he is 23 years but still.. and he struggles in FT in clutch.

  13. You can teach defense, the problem is when the player doesn´t want or care to learn. You can be the best teacher, but if the student doesn´t want to make the effort is pointless.

Individual defense is not good as team defense. The team defense win chamionships. Just see the Detroit Pistons, and they haven´t Lebron james or Michael Jordan.

Individual defense: Kobe Bryant, this season when he lost his man, and other teamate helps him on D, he won´t go for the other.

Team defense: San Antonio, last detroit pistons champions, some lapsus of the present miami heat, etc. team defense everybody helps each other. That doesn´t mean that you can´t have a shutdown defender, like for example bruce bowen.
