  1. Well if it is that easy to become a "source" and not offer up any credentials, then I am going to report that J.J. actually spent the summer in cartoon land with bugs bunny playing against an alien basketball team that stole NBA players abilities. It was a tough game, but J.J. was assisted got help from bill murray and got the win.

    Jose Barea Possibility

With Jameer Nelson becoming a restriced free agent next year, and Carlos Arroyo's contract expiring next year, in my perfect theoretical world I was thinking about how great it might be if the Magic pursued Jose Barea after this season. He is currently on the Mavericks and has a 1 year contract for a really low price. By getting someone like Barea cheap it would allow us to put the money we would be paying Jameer to someone else (hopefully a big man), and would also give the latin community another reason to come to magic games. Barea is an up and coming star and has already displayed some skills in the summer league and Pan-Am games with Puerto Rico. It would be pretty sweet to have him and Arroyo playing the point. What are your feelings about him, and the possibility of the magic pursuing him?

    Premature Eastern Conference Rankings

You guys have got to stop eating paint chips and start following the NBA here is a good break down. Instead of ranking teams i will split them up into different tiers. TOP TIER: Detroit, Chicago, Toronto, Washington: The team with the greatest chance of falling out of this group would have to be Washington. While their team was healthy they were at the top of the Eastern conference, but if one or more of their stars goes down the team crumbles. MIDDLE TIER: Celtics, Cavs, Magic, Nets: While the Cavs will need a MIRACLE to make it back to the conference finals, the Celtics who have 3 legitimate stars have absolutely NO depth. Behind them their best player is Kendrick Perkins.....PERKINS. There is no way that Pierce, Garnett, and especially Allen will play the entire game. LOWER TIER: Heat, Knicks, Bucks, Bobcats: The Heat have about as good a chance at winning the south east division as Darko has at winning the league MVP. The Magic will have a good shot at winning the South Eastern title. The Heat are headed to the crapper, the Hawks and Cats are still young, and I like the Magics chances against the Wiz.

    Gortat falling deep.......

WOW....thats all i have to say after viewing the youtube videos for marcin gortat and fran vasquez. Gortat is only going to get better and if we can ever get fran over here we are going to tear up this league with our team

    Gortat vs Darko

simple math equation to settle this matter: Darko= 0% chance of being great Gortat= 30% chance of being great People that believe that Darko has a chance to be something special are the type of people that continually play the lottery. NOT SMART. But i will mention that darko being great does have about the same probability as me winning the lottery tommorow.......i didnt buy a ticket.
  7. Putting JJ at point guard is the most insane thing ever said on this forum. Wait, why dont we just put dwight howard at point guard and have JJ come off the bench to relieve him. D12 said he plays like a point guard in pick up games. And hire Penny Hardaway as our new coach. I really believe that there is a better chance of Otis Smith coming out of retirement and getting a game winning dunk over Tim Duncan than JJ playing the point

    Check out this line up

With everyone in the world arguing over who should start at shooting guard next year: J.J.Redick, Keyon Dooling, Trevor Ariza, or even Kieth Bogans, why not give this line up a try. PG-Jameer Nelson SG-J.J. Redick SF-Trevor Ariza PF-Rashard Lewis C-Dwight Howard I know that Turk wouldn't be a starter, but doesnt anyone rememeber how effective he was coming off the bench before he joined the magic? When he first came to this club that was his role and he thrived at it. Although Ariza isnt a perimeter shooter he is a huge contributor on the boards and defense. He also looked impressive last year slashing to the hoop. What good would it be to have Nelson, J.J., Turk, and Lewis on the court at the same time? Are they all going to just stand on the three point line and throw up shots? We need Ariza in there to gather in offensive rebounds and defend the opposing teams top player. Im excited about next year. GO MAGIC
  9. My Predictions: 1.WASHINGTON- were leading east before stars went down at all star break. Gilbert Arenas in contract year and looking to get big $$$ 2.TORONTO- Great team, will improve on last season and advance past 1st round 3.DETROIT- Their days dominating the east are numbered. This team will begin a decline 4.ORLANDO- Narrowly behind washington for SE crown and improving every day 5.CHICAGO- More of the same. Promising young players, different guys stepping up at different times, but no real star. 6.CLEVELAND- Last years magic that took them to the finals seems to have disappeared 7.NEW YORK- Isiah finally gets his team into the playoffs and looks like a genius for getting Zach Randolph 8.BOBCATS- With no significant injuries this team makes MJ proud and loses in hefirst round of the playoffs
  10. you guys are doggin' the Bucks way to much. Doesnt anyone remember 2 years ago when they were healthy and in the playoffs? So what they were plagued y injuries last year. Everyone should be returning and the they brought in Yi Juilian which will immediately help out. Also note that Miami is going to struggle to make the playoffs with DWades injury and his cast close to the retirement home. Assuming that Miami still puts together a quality season, the SouthEastern conference could be the toughest in the east seeing that the bottom three teams (magic, Bobcats, and Hawks) all got additions that should immediately help out their teams

Putting Trevor Ariza at PF is just as crazy as putting the guy at SG......i mean the guy is only 6'8 I know he is long and athletic but he would be matched up against bigger guys every night. I guess this just comes down to who would you rather have on the court taking the three point shots J.J. or turk(besides rashard). Right now I would take Redick. I hope you guys dont think that Turk is gonna be our PF, thats insane....he is a gaurd/small forward.
