What should the 2010-11 lineup be?
Sinister Grin replied to Die Mannschaft's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Yeah Brewer is 6'9" and plays the 2. Paul is a master theif and the 4 and 5 would never let the opposition sniff a rebound. If only dreams came true. -

Nobody thinks the Hornets would take- Gortat 5.8 Carter expiring Turkys exemption For Paul Okafor Posey The Hornets get a quality cheap center and get rid of 30m in contracts (2 of which are very bad ones) while only taking on less than 6m after the year is out. Then you can try use any of Nelson, Bass, future picks, Anderson or Pietrus to get Love and Brewer from Minnesota. I'll admit the Minnesota trade has about a 0.5% of happening but that N.O. trade could be possible if it's true about them wanting to save money. With Collison playing so well maybe they would listen. Paul Brewer Lewis Love Howard Bench - Watson/Nelson (depending on any trades or FA) Redick Barnes/Pietrus (depending on any trades or FA) Anderson/Bass (depending on any trades or FA) Okafor -
While I think Lewis would be a liability on D (not awful) at the SF position I think he would own on the offensive side. He is a huge SF and is a very good post player when given the chance.

Get rid of VC-Maybe People gone next season AJ-Bye Bye Dad Foyle- thats a given J-Will- Sorry pal Bass-He doesen't want to be here The Maybe VC- never know JJ- We might trade him Shard- If someone is stupid enough to take his contract he's gone Going to be intresting to see what Otis does. The Knicks owner must have gotten rid of Isaiah Thomas for this very reason. He knew it was just a matter of time before they gave us their 1st rounder and David Lee for Rashard. Curses!!! -

PASS FIRST PG, or the really really early NBA Draft/offseason Thread.

If Otis finds a way to rid us of Carter and/or Lewis and get a top 5 player at any position other than center he should have one of those Jordan type statues put up outside of the Amway Center. I rather have a team full of bruisers and fiery players that get kicked out in the first round fighting than a team of girly men that make it to the conference finals or finals every year just to get embarrassed and swept. -

I don't really remember but Howard struggled offensively too in half of those. Who's they? Boston? Kendrick Perkins. It's not an anomaly anymore. Dude gives Dwight problems. Still, there are few players that can handle Dwight 1 on 1, and 2 of them are on the Celtics, one is perpetually injured and on Houston, and I'm not convinced of Jermaine O'neal, but he did do a good job this year. Oh sorry; I meant the Lakers lol. oh, well, I think they brought Odom on the late double team and his length combined with the Laker's front line bothered him. I think we match up with the Lakers much better than Boston, though. Rondo>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Fisher... so yeah. -

Did Hakeem go into the future and pattern his game after himself? And if so, who did Future Hakeem pattern his game after? Time is confusing, but I digress... Players should go into the gym with the intent of honing their own individual brand of play. We need to stop shoving styles of play down Dwight's throat. He's his own player, and he needs to continue to develop HIS moves. I agree that Dwight needs to develop his own style but he still needs a coach to point out different aspects that can be improved. Someone taught Hakeem and Hakeem still had his own style of play but his coach just made it easier and more diverse. -
Root Problem ... System or Players?

When we face a team that can sit back on our shooters while keeping dwight ineffective we need some players that can say F' the offense, I'm putting our team on my back and getting us through this series. I think Lewis would have been able to post up Pierce all night long. -

Lewis should have been playing at SF against this team from the get go and JJ is the only player we have that seems to excel against the Celtics. I believe that Gortat's D will be exposed to no end against anyone not named Sheldon Williams though. I always thought his D was overrated but this series he has been beaten over and over again. -
Yeah we are replacing Stan with Ewing... can't wait to see those x's and o's and hear those halftime speeches. Last time I checked Pop and Sloan were quite comfortable where they are so I don't know who you are going to find better than Stan. I have to say Doc Rivers is not the brain behind the Celtics... Thibadeau is.

quote: Originally posted by ThisIsTheYear:Every time someone mentions Hakeem as a choice for Dwight's instructor, I die a little. It's the most cliche response to a subject regarding someone's "post game". Dwight needs to find it in himself to become a better player WITHOUT the assistance of a great. The guy should have the drive to become his own breed of player, not the next Hakeem/Ewing/Shaq/etc. I fully believe we'll see a new Dwight next season that is incomparable to the other greats we consistently contrast him with. It's not about Dwight becoming Hakeem. Hakeem seems like he is a great teacher period. He turned Kobe into a post god. This year Josh Smith was a beast on the blocks until he ran into Dwight. Forget about the name. The man is just a good teacher. -

Most teams can't play him one on one. Otherwise, our offensive game plan would've been taken advantage of a long time before Boston. Come on, man. Most can't play him one on one, but I don't know about most mid playoff teams. Other than Boston, I can't think of a team that wouldn't end up double teaming. Lakers? -

Dwight needs Olajuwon and a free throw coach more than anything. He may also need a sport psychologist to implant what it is to be intense and passionate about the game....seriously. He gives a good press conference but his actions on the court leave a lot to be desired when things aren't going his way. He needs moves and counter moves to be honed and perfected (Olajuwon). I don't care what anyone says he needs a consistent 10-15 foot jumper. He is also going to eventually need maturity. Prognosis = Robin -

I say give Dwight one more chance with Hakeem Olajuwon and if that doesn't work make him your Super Ben Wallace. Dwight needs a guy that can dominate out on the wing. Badly. -

Like most gifted athletes in this league I question Gay's mindset. When I have gotten the opportunity to see him play he reminds me of Lewis. Very passive. -

I guess I have lost some faith in the super athletic players. I just want a guy with passion for the game that plays hard and has great fundamentals. When was the last time we had a great SF anyway? Hill was always hurt, Tmac played the 2 and Barnes is awful on offense. 3D wasn't all that spectacular either. -

I rather have Deng than Gay. He is a fundamentally sound player unlike Gay and something this team sorely lacks. And we have been saying Dwight needs to work on his post game during the off season for the last 6 seasons.
