    my offseason dream

My off season dream is that we... 1. Sign Watson 2. Sign Redick 3. Trade Gortat for a top 10 pick (Paul George) 4. Say goodbye to Pops, Jwill and Chef 5. Sign any vet center that can play decent D. 6. Not so much off season but try and trade Carter at the trade deadline for something of value. All of those, I believe, are within reason. nelson, watson carter, redick george, pietrus Rlewis, bass howard, (A big body)

    Otis on Offseason Plans....

I don't understand how Shard was a problem against the Celtics. The player also has to be be put in the right situation to be effective. Against KG he was on lock but against Pierce he looked like Jordan. On the defensive side he was all world against KG.

    Draft Profile: Wesley Johnson

Paul George would have been a nice grab but he is shooting up the boards faster than anyone else.

The Official "trade for ____ ? Thread"

Looks like the Heat will trade Beasley for a pair of dirty socks. http://www.realgm.com/src_wire...ng_deal_for_beasley/

    Who would you trade?

    What Can Dwight Improve On?

It's not like Dwight has to shoot 90% at the free throw line to be effective. If he can get it around 75%-78% teams would not know what to do with him.

Howard is going to see the Master of the Post: Mr. 1994/95

I think everyone noticed a very big change in Dwight during the Boston series. He was just "different" in a great way. I hope this is the Dwight we get from here on out. I also believe that most of Dwight's problems have to do with his mentality and focus. Hopefully this summer is the turning point in that regard. Who better to train with that Mr. 1996

Mr. 1996 is going to bring out the best in Dwight. I hope it's not just a week or two. He should spend the whole summer with the Dream.

I agree with ThuglifeJ. We need CP3 and get rid of Vince replacing him with a young talented wing. Maybe Gay, Johnson, Granger or guys like this.

    The "OFFICIAL" Offseason Thread

What about Darren Collison? He has no weakness that I can see from watching them play. He has decent size and is definitely a true point. Great defender and extremely fast. Very efficient scorer. Everyone talks CP3 but this guy is 22 and has everything we want in a point guard.

    The "OFFICIAL" Offseason Thread

Mike Miller is one of the most gifted offensive players in the NBA but as efficient as he is on the offensive side he is that bad on the defensive side. But what about a bench lineup of... Jwill Redick Miller Anderson Gortat Whiteout. A lineup Celtic and Pacer fans would drool over.

    Anyone feel sorry for Vince?

I agree that he isn't a #1 option just pointing out that he is a great facilitator. The type of wing that Jameer needs to be effective. In that type of match Joe can basically be the 1 and Jameer the 2. Joe also plays great D.
  16. I think we should look at players Dwight's age or younger to build a long term group.

    Anyone feel sorry for Vince?

He may have played poorly in this years playoffs but Joe Johnson is a very good facilitator. Most of his troubles is the fact that Atlanta runs a disgraceful excuse for an offense. How many SG's average 6 assists per game? When you factor in the offensive scheme they run in Atlanta that is phenomenal.

Rudy Gay is one of the worst defensive SF in the NBA. I'll admit Gay is a bad defender but Danny Granger? His D is just as bad if not worse. Gay is 4 years younger than Granger too. we'll be replacing vince. You really think "not a great defender" is an excuse for not making that trade. At the very least, Gay has the tools to be bothersome on defense. Either way, we need a guy to score. Let Dwight worry about defense. We were one of, if not the best, defensive teams last year. We start Nelson, Carter, and Lewis. Dwight and Barnes will cover for whoever we get to replace carter. Agreed and at 23 Gay has the tools to develop into a good defender. He is on a different level athletically than Granger as well. I believe his D is bad because he doesn't really bother with that aspect of the game in Memphis but with Stan it will be different. Lewis, Carter and Nelson all have reasons physically why they are poor defenders. Gay does not.
  19. Danny Granger also has one of the best contracts in the league in terms of production. I don't see them trading that.

Both guys I would love to have but it doesn't make sense comparing two bad defender's defensive abilities.

    Congrats on a tough series

I wonder if it was Dwight that did the same to kg if you, celtsfan, would be so understanding. Trust me if it was Dwight that did it to kg his arm would have been either broken or so hurt he would not have been able to use it. It's a good thing that punk is so weak for his size. I had respect for kg in Minnesota but he has turned into a real girl since he joined boston.
  23. quote: Originally posted by Kris Brockington:Saying that Lewis is out there to just spread the floor is not worth 20 million a year. He needed to do more than that. Just b/c KG didn't do well, we still needed Lewis to put points on the board too. He doesn't only get played to play defense and hustle. For that money, we need way more. If anything, he should be the go to guy. Sorry if I sound like a broken record. $20 million a year for lots of single digit numbers. I agree that we needed more out of Carter but he shouldn't receive 100 percent of the blame. Cough cough Lewis. Obviously there were more factors like the whole team should have hustled harder (Williams). Shard did what he could do while being very sick. His shot wasn't there but he did so many other things (locking down KG isn't easy). Which is more than I can say for some other people. Cough cough Carter.

    Top 10 Moments

Lot's of good ones but I will list my fave... Dwight's 33pt, 17reb, 7blk, 1 turnover, 1 foul, 11-13 ft game in our last game against the Pistons this year. It was on of the most dominating perfomances I've ever seen. It was like he could do no wrong against a team that has haunted him for the last few years. Very satisfying.
