Yea I just saw that, If only Redick would get a chance.

Who wins a shoot out betwen Daniel Gibson and JJ Redick? I say Redick takes him,not because he is on my team, heck he barely plays, but I think Redick would take him.what do you think?

Turk for Artest......would you? (see pg.5)
Rico replied to ball junkie's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
only if he comits to extending his contract, yes. if the deal is on the table do it.Now turk for Haslem no way bad trade. In Artest case is a no brainer because you still get your 20 pts a game player with long range and can drive to the basket, exellent free trow shooter, plus you get a lock down defender. -
POLL: Should SVG Run More Plays for Rashard?
Rico replied to MilitaryMagic's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Rashard nedds a lot more touches,it is beyond me that this guy gets outshot by jammer, hedo, and Howard every game.He should be first or second option every game period. -

Eddy curry could be a good fit even though he's only averaging 5 reb. last year he put up 19 and 7. I think we could offer the knicks a couple expiring contracts, garrity arroyo etc. Curry is only making 8.5 so it would be reasonable. o ne other trade could be with the kings. Kings are looking to trade bibby and artest. As much as i love hedo we have soo much already invested in the same player with lewis. Why not use hedo to try and get both of them or a 3 team trade to get one of them and maybe another player from some other team. Turks trade value is at its peak i think we could change around this subpar magic team in a hurry. -comments.... I agree with you try to get Curry from knicks and trade Hedo for Artest I hate to lose Hedo but he would be replaced by a 20+ scorer and an exellent defender who also has long ball range, to me this is a cant loose situation.

How about a front line of Howard and curry? or Howard and Randolph

The Official "Lets Trade for Charlie Villanueva" Thread.
Rico replied to Jareth Cutestory's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Villanueva would be my first choice, followed by wilcox then Haslem. -
Steve Kyler's latest on the Magic trade situation(link)
Rico replied to ball junkie's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
I think Wilcox would be a better fit for this team now and in the future,he is younger, taller 6"10,compare to 6"8 and it would cost us a lot less, plus we dont have to deal with the scumbag of Pat Riley, who right now is just waiting to do Otis once again. -
UPDATE: Josh Powell salary-cap friendly quality backup C/PF (see first and last post)

Villanueva and Wilcox would be awesome Rico..question for you...Otis has to play GM with limited money..how would you go about strengthening this team considering we definitely need a strong PF and prolly could use a upgrade at PG and SG...(not that I don't like how Nelson and Evans have been playing off late). Boils down to expirings for quality PF and then sign some decent PG, SG or expirings for quality PG/SG and then sign some decent PF? I think right now the best move would be to use the expirings to get a big,ie Villanueva,Wilcox,Haslem in that order, now the Pg situation will be more dificult, why trade for a decent pg when you have two decent ones right now,I dont see us getting a real good one any time soon.To my knowledge there is only two real good PG on the market right now Kidd and Miller, but they wont be traded for anything else than good players and I dont think the Magic will want the huge contracts. So lets keep Nelson and Los for now and play it out,as far as SG I would love for Otis to talk Maggetty into signing with us for the MLE. -
quote: Originally posted by Jareth Cutestory:Exactly. O' Neal is about the same age is Shard too if I remember. The guy is another injury away from retirement. No thanks. Especially not with his contract. Haslem, Evans, Charlie V, any of those guys. Plus those guys are realistically attainable without having to give up Turk. We're looking to add a piece to the puzzle, not start the puzzle from scratch again. Getting rid of Turk would be doing that. hey dont forget Chris WILCOX

There is some one out there available for expirings right now, young with huge upside, he is 6"11 pf his name is Charlie Villanueva, this guy next to dwight would be scary. -
If I was Otis I would send expirings to Milwake for Charlie Villanueva, and sign maggetty over the summer.

Maggette already turned down a 3 year extension at 9 million a year from the Clippers this season. Hey sometimes you have to take a pay cut in order for you to win, were would you rather be with the clips in the west or with the upcoming MAGIC with D12 in the middle in the east.

HASLEM AND A FIRST which will be high because of their record. still would not do it not for Hedo maybe for expirings but not The Turk, as far as a first rounder we all know the history of this team drafting players. Not to mention that you would be sending a 6"10" 19 or 20 point a game scorer to our rivals in the southeast division.
-
hey not to defend the guy because I have noted also that he is no PG, but what if is SVG telling this guy, go out there and just score points for us you have green light.

nice going redick one way to keep a player from scoring on you is to run around make him chase you all over the court and get him tired.hopefully he will play second half, also good to see cook in there,we need new energy GO MAGIC. -
Redick Tired of Riding Bench (Povtak)

quote: Originally posted by MilitaryMagic:So disappointed in JJ last night... our 2 guards have been *so* bad, I really thought last night was going to be his chance to turn the corner and make a case for being in the rotation. Instead he was a key piece of the 2nd quarter lineup that lost our huge lead. Just a disappointment. I doubt SVG gives him another chance. I wonder what Otis translates to as "pretty high value" for Redick??? I dont know about disappointment, I mean he only saw very limited action, yes he had a turnover and comited a foul, what can you expect of a guy that barely plays only every fifth game, for example how many shots did he take, thats right 0, did they even look at him,did they try to run a screen and free him up for a shot I dont think so,it was as he was not there at all,the point I am trying to make is that you can lable yesterdays performance as a dissapointment in less than 5 min. of playing time. -
I am getting really worry here what do you guys think, is it time?

is it possible to trade GMS? lets trade Otis.
