One of the things that always stuck out to me as a journalist is the emphasis a number of writers place on the negative aspects of sports, teams and players. It is always sickening to me to see how much publicity is made of a player getting into trouble, but then it gets completely ignored when a bunch of guys on the same team go out do something positive. Total ratings sell outs. I could never stand them as a fan of a team and I still can

I just got back from today's shootaround as the Magic prepare for the Nets.
Here's what Stan and the players had to say:

Also just an update for you guys here (not in the shootaround page). I talked to Gortat about the five chickens and if he ate them once he got home.
He said: "I got through two, but was full after that. I realize now that quickness is more important than being big."

Just got back from shootaround. There was some great stuff today about the Pistons and on Hedo Turkoglu being a father. Apparently Stan Van Gundy and Dwight Howard held a vote to see who thought Turk could be responsible for another human being.
