Dwight has some words for Skip Bayless

quote: I'm not sure if you fully understand why Dwight brought up LeBron.. It's widely known that Skip doesn't like LeBron at all and is always pointing out every flaw in his game. So what Dwight was saying is "Why should I, or anybody for that matter, listen to Skip when he talks smack about my game, when he doesn't even think LeBron is good?" He does get his point across without having to bring up LeBron, but it wasn't completely out of nowhere. Exaaaaaaaaaactly. I still don't see how, within context, anyone can take Dwight's comments as "blowing LeBron". Too ludicrous.

Dwight has some words for Skip Bayless

quote: Nobody said you were a LeBron fan, you haven't even posted in this thread yet. Nobody said you were a LeBron fan, you haven't even posted in this thread yet. That comment was way out of left field, JUST LIKE DWIGHT'S COMMENT ABOUT LEBRON. It was a rhetorical question, leading up to my main point. Meaning, that even though I do not like Lebron, I can respect his game. Woosh. quote: Ask yourself this question, are you ever going to hear LeBron praise Dwight, or anyone for that matter? No. And that matters why? Why should being objective about a person's basketball skills require that the person compliment you back? That just shows that Dwight's the better man and is not as selfish as Lebron James. And to me, this makes me love D12 even more. By saying this comment, you are acting like Jon Barry and all those other nuts on ESPN that can't seem to get a grasp on being objective because they let their emotions interfere with their analysis. Yes, we all know LBJ is a ******. But he is still one of the best players in the NBA, and Dwight gives him credit for it.

I find it hilarious that your idea of "blowing" someone is equivalent to the act of complimenting someone about their skills. Hey, next time Skip compliments Dwight, let's all say that he's blowing him. However, I do feel that we should hold off on the Skip bashing. He was one of the ONLY ESPN analysts who was calling out the refs during last years ECF; he even stood up for Dwight when he said "the refs show him no respect". See this video if you are ready to hate Skip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-J4mZOcdDE Maybe he is calling out Dwight to get him motivated. We'll see.

    Dwight sucks

quote: Originally posted by O-dub:If you think about it. He really does. He can't shoot threes he can't create for others. His dribbling skills are pretty weak and he gets the ball stolen quite often in some cases. He forces up too many shots so he isn't quite a passer. He's undersized at his position and gets overpowered on defense. He isn't even an all-star caliber player. He doesn't have leadership skilled and he's too nice out there. His free throw shooting is atrocious and his field goal percentage is under 50 percent. He has no offensive game and he can't lead a team to a championship. Can you tell if I'm being sarcastic or not? I can't. Also his killer instinct % is too low.

How naive I was to to think that they would actually give us some credit.

    What Gregg Popovich Said Post-Game

Jon Barry is a b**** plain and simple. Right before, the Lakers game, he said we missed Hedu. Then during Halftime, after Vince was killing it, he claimed to be wrong about us missing Hedo. Now he changes his mind BACK? Go home and die, ***hole.

    What Gregg Popovich Said Post-Game

FTA entitled "Status quo as Magic blow out another foe -- this time, Spurs": quote: "I think they're built for championships," he said. "They've got everything that it takes. They've got an inside game obviously, they've got a perimeter game to go with it. The 3-point shot is very important in winning championships, the inside game is important. They have the depth that's necessary and defensively, they're leading the league in field-goal percentage defense, and if you don't play 'D', you don't win championships. "So they've got all the elements there. It's a matter of being consistent and being focused and going out and getting it done, and I think they have the capability to do that." We may not be earning the respect of ESPN, but we are earning the respect of other coaches it seems. http://www.nba.com/games/20100...l?ls=gt2hp0020901010
  17. I'd rather have this too, because as much as we laugh at the Celtics about how old they are, you never know what they can bring to the playoffs, especially if they can somehow tie the Cavs for a 2-2 season record to gain some confidence.

Why isn't D12 a top prospect for MVP?

What I was going to lead to was the fact that even ESPN alluded to the notion that there was one-sided officiating in that series. It was basically another blow to the "magic fans are delusional about the calls for lebron" theory.

Why isn't D12 a top prospect for MVP?

All thats been proven is that you can beat us with Rashard and with poor officiating. The one game where we are healthy and the officiating went both ways, the Magic came out on top. Let me ask you a question, honestly: do you think last year's ECF was called fairly? I dont want to hear any excuses; I really want to know how you feel about this.

quote: Originally posted by AnotherCavsFan: quote: Originally posted by gobucsmagic: The same thing was said about the Cavs last year too. How'd that turn out again? Last year there was no Shaq, Jamison, Parker, Moon, JJ. Ben Wallace and Anderson Varejao can't guard Rashard Lewis. Antawn Jamison can. Ilgauskas can't guard Dwight Howard. Shaq can. The matchup problems the Magic presented have been fixed. But the games still have to be played, and everything has to fall in to place. OK first Parker, Moon, JJ are horrible so we don't even have to talk about them. Antawn is OK, but definitely on Rashard's playoff level. We all know how Mo Williams shows up during the playoffs as well. And Shaq will do a better job then Z, but give me a break; he still wont be able to contain Howard. Like I said before, the only way you guys win is up to the officiating. If it's fair, Lebron will be in NY next year. Edit: And you are wrong about the fact that ONLY fans see officiating in a one-dimensional manner. I had some friends that were Cleveland home-towners at my house during the series here in Florida. Even they admitted the reffing was extremely biased for Lebron. So your theory fails. No surprise.

Why isn't D12 a top prospect for MVP?

Is this guy SERIOUSLY saying that the Magic get as many calls as the Cavaliers? LMAO...denial at it's WORST.. What a joke. The only reason D12 gets foul calls is because they are INTENTIONAL FOULS. I saw the game between Lebron and Detroit last night. The reffing, as usual, was such a joke. Lebron goal tends, Cavaliers hammer detroit down low causing them to miss shots, but when you breathe on Lebron, he gets an AND-1 call. Despicable. How could you be so blind as not to see that?
