    I see many tourists come to town and find cheap hotel deals online with pictures from like 1995. Just whatever you do, please stay away from Orange Blossom Trail like hotels such as, in town suits or heritage. If memory serves me well the Marriott downtown Orlando (think its off of Magnolia Avenue) that was right next to the old arena is pretty nice, Just remember you get what you pay for.

    I became a fan around the mid 90s for one reason. I had just moved to Orlando from Mass and my Aunt and Uncle took me to a game (they already lived here.) They had a VIP pass and we were able to go back by the locker rooms. I was pretty young and looking one way down the hallway, I felt a tap on my shoulder so i turned around. It was Penny and I will remember this till I die. He says "hey big man how you doing" I said fine slapped his hand he smiled and walked away. I was in aw for the rest of the night. Die hard Magic fan since.

    Did I love the years he was here? Yes I did. Did I love the years Before he was here? Yes I did. I will also love the years without him here. I do not appreciate Dwight because Dwight is about Dwight. The real ones in need of appreciation threads are the Jameer Nelsons, who dispite the turmoil wants to lead this team. JJ who continuously talks about being loyal to the city that has been loyal to him and wants to retire with us. So good bye Dwight have a great time in a place that only loves you when your good.

    The article essentially says that the Magic will never get equal value for Howard and that Otis should be turning over every rock to find a running mate good enough to entice Howard to stay.

     

    The three trades listed were:

     

    1. Ryan Anderson and Earl Clark for Eric Gordon - Article states that it could be risky given Gordon's injury history but that Gordon is young and one year removed from scoring 23+. The article states that the two could form a devastating combo given the pending decline of Wade and Kobe at the SG spot.

     

    2. Ryan Anderson, Hedo Turkoglu and Redick for Pau Gasol - Article states that the Lakers would finally be able to spread the floor for Bynum and Kobe. It also says that Gasol and Howard would form a great front court with Pau being such a good passer and jump shooter. They could play high low together.

     

    3. Ryan Anderson and Jameer Nelson for Rajon Rondo - Article states that Boston needs to rebuild soon and Rondo is wearing out his his welcome. It says that Rondo/Howard would be the best PG/Center combo since Penny/Shaq.

     

    That is the summary. Thoughts?

     

     

    I dont know why maybe I just dont watch the Lakers enough but I dont like Pau at all. Rondo and Dwight would be great Ill take all of Rondos baggage, sign JR Smith and send JJ with Jameer and Ryno to sweeten the pot and I am all in. I would miss Ryno alot but Rondo makes it worth it.

    My post count is less then yours, I joined well after you, I probably dont read the boards as often and I get that...... The beginning of your post sounds like the start of a socialist class warfare essay but thats just IMO. I am sure if it was that easy to just fix this mess it would have been done, if RDV had some sort of magic wand he could just wave and get CP3 it would have been waved and waved hard. I am a die hard Magic fan aswell, I will forever scream at the TV if we are 82-0 or 0-82. I support RDV in everything he does with the franchise (unless its moving them) they have brought me so many good memories. He does not run his franchise poorly it has ups and downs just like any business. Dwight years have spoiled some of us and we need to remember where we have come from, no matter whos here or whos not continue united support for the team and city it represents. I do agree Otis screwed up tho lol

    Dwight, if you read these boards ever like you once kinda said you did let this one post stick with you.

     

    Dwight, I have tons of pride in my city, I love it and cant imagine living anywhere else. I was in the Army and have been moved around alot I served in Iraq in 2008 and when I was there and I knew a Magic game was on AFN I would stay up till around two in the morning when I was out all day in 100+ degree weather working by butt off, just to watch you and MY team play. I would brag to the guys the next morning about your dunks, our fast breaks and how you guys celebrated together. Nothing made me more proud then watching MY team rolling and MY city going crazy screaming in the stands. I sometimes could do nothing but laugh out loud becuase of how great the moments that you gave me were. Dont even get me started about that .8 second inbound dunk over Tim Duncan in 2007 I couldnt sit down after, it was insane. I understand how having an always negative leader will bring your troops (team) down, but i would be darned if an outsider said anything bad about my leader cuz we play for each other and the people we represent. Stay with OUR city we will get it done, we will sellout the stands and we will have a championship parade for the first time coming down the street on a giant float of just your face with a big grin on it. We dont have any statues outside of Amway yet but I am sure if we get time away from our hectic schedule of taking care of all of our other kings of OUR city we will get you one. You will have one somewhere but why not one in a class of your own instead of one among many.

    Yes, I know all the reasons why these trades would be unlikely but lets face it Kidd is old and needs to replaced sometime and the kittens need to make way for Mr. Overrated. ATL well I dunno why they would do it but I have seen the idea posted b4 and it would be great to see done.
