He's in this draft. Whether he stays in or goes back to school we'll have to wait and see. He's a 6'1 PG though nothing like his old man.

His dad grew 7 inches in one summer in college, so have been watching to see any kind of growth spurt since being at Vandy...nothing so far. Above average college basketball player, but potential nowhere near his Hall of Fame father. Interested to see where Pippen Jr will end up whether that be this year or years down the line.

Scottie (Pippen - LeBron) Barnes !!!

Scotty Pippen Jr coming out of Vanderbilt. Potential late 1st/2nd rounder in the next couple years. Going into his Junior season this year. Some accolades below from his first two years...

    -2021 All-SEC First Team

-2021 Associated Press All-SEC First Team

    -2021 NABC All-District First Team

    -2020 SEC All-Freshman Team

To be honest I think in that scenario we just stand pat. I don't think Suggs is that much better than the next group that I'd be wanting to give up future picks. OKC might jump us for Suggs but would Toronto want to do that knowing we might take the guy they want? I think that's a situation where a trade doesn't end up happening. Unless Toronto really doesn't have a guy they love and are happy with whoever at 6+.

Would love to see a splash made to move up, but I wouldn't move up for Suggs. If there was a possibility where we could trade w/ Houston or Cleveland up to 2 or 3 then I would like to see that to get a player like Mobley or Green, but might be a little pricey to move up in that range. I see us staying put at 5 and 8.

I agree with this. Didn't he also say that "in a few years, he'd love to go to the NBA but it isn't now."

Doesn't that just tell the people at Memphis...you're just a stepping stone? lol

    I'm super glad he's staying.

Would have been jumping into cold water here. Too soon of a move for a young coach who is still learning. Glad we will have someone (whoever that may be) that has more coaching experience at this level. Hoping it is someone that will light a spark within this young team.

It is a very good comparison.  Donovan was not top 5 regarded so at 8 we have to find a gem.

The top 3-5 in this draft is impressive, but I think the best player that comes out of this draft when we look back on it in 7 years will be picked somewhere in the 7-14 range. There is a gem out there, now it is up to Weltman and Co. to find him.

IMO the Hawks are better without Trae than the Bucks are without Giannis. If both are out his series is over. If Trae is back the next game is a blowout!

It will be interesting to see how this series turns out. I do not think we have seen the last of either Giannis or Trae though...should add for a dramatic Eastern finals

So... I think i am on the Scottie Barnes train.

I'd be extremely happy with Barnes and Bouknight

Scottie is a Hooper. We are getting 2 extremely talented kids in this draft i am telling you

     Game changers

Would be glad to see both Barnes and Bouknight in Orlando this coming year. I do have a good feeling ab these two picks as well, hopeful that they can make an immediate impact.

Yikes. Does PG13 have it in him to mount a come back and take LAC to the Finals after all.

In all honesty, even if MIL - LAC is a year later than it should have been, I think any of these four teams makes for a fun and interesting finals for once

Whoever wins the Finals this year is due for a championship. I'm just happy the "regulars" are watching from their couches. Gonna be cool to see either PG13, CP3, Giannis, or Trae hold up their first Larry O'Brien Trophy.

As a Vanderbilt fan, I watched a lot of Moody throughout SEC play this previous season and was always very impressed. Love his natural feel for the game and would love to see him bring it to Orlando

Would yall do 5 & 8 for Siakam? Pretty much what GS is offering

As young as this team is and as low as the bar is set right now for this upcoming year, I'd let Weltman utilize those two draft picks at 5 and 8 to build upon the core youthful group and let them learn and grow together. Need a more firm foundation in my opinion before we start adding players like Siakam or whoever else in the mix. Just adding Siakam isn't going to take us to the playoffs with this roster anytime soon.
