FYI: I saw that Okeke will have his press conference live on Facebook today at 1500. Woot!

I haven't really seen anything official. To recap, we have drafted/signed? Okeke Jeffries Pardon Law

I am cool with going with BPA. On another note, just watched the Weltman presser and he said that the time table for an ACL projects Okeke to return during the season, but they will be patient and not rush him back. I was excited to hear that. I thought for sure he was out for the season. Maybe not. Fingers crossed!

After sleeping on it I am really excited about what Okeke can bring. He's athletic but he doesn't seem to have the hops like AG. I think that is a good thing though. IMO, when guys like AG are coming up they rely on their exceptional athleticism to score. It's probably not intentional but they seem to neglect their shooting fundamentals, etc.. Okeke, on-the-other-hand doesn't have that super athlete advantage. He needs to be more fundamentally sound and it looks like he is. Nothing against AG. Obviously, I love the guy (notice my avatar?). It has taken a lot of time, but his shooting has gotten much better. Especially from the 3. I am hopeful that Okeke will be more developed offensively when he comes back healthy. It is also said that he has a high basketball IQ so he will probably see time at the 3 and 4 and make a nice rotation piece with AG and JI. Lots to be happy about here. :-)

Well...can’t say I am not surprised. He wasn’t even on my radar. However, from what I am learning about him now I am hopeful he can help us. He can shoot!

I would be okay if we got someone to legitimately challenge Fournier.

Interesting that teams are willing to trade back.

If it starts at 1900, what time do you think the Magic will pick at 16?

Sounds good. I would be ok with either. I don't really have a favorite right now. That could change, of course, as the day goes on and I learn more about those in our range. :-)

That must bode well for the developmental guys we have like Frazier and Jefferson. If they weren't progressing then I suppose we would be trying to bring in someone new.

How do you envision us using Washington? What do you think about TY Jerome?

Thank you very much! I will try and be more concise and less vindictive in the future.

Between the two, I agree that NAW is the safer pick for a guy like me. He might not be a legitimate go-to guy, but he seems consistent when he gets his opportunities. Fournier is frustrating to me. He only seemed to get hot when things didn't matter. For me, I would rather have consistency than risk a bust. NAW also brings some things to the table such as a high basketball IQ and passing which could help AG and JI get easier buckets, IMO.

Thank you very much for your advice. If they can, they should turn the downvote feature off. It's just a distraction and takes away from the topic at hand. If I don't agree with what someone says I either reply or move on (agree to disagree). Message boards should welcome discussion and be encouraging.

I would be happy with a lot of guys. Using the link you provided ( thank you!) I was just reading about Thybulle’s defense. Thinking back to the Raptors and how their defense pretty much shut us down I am intrigued by what Thybulle could bring.

You could be right. I am all over the place. One minute I like NAW, the next, Little if he drops and so on. I can’t keep up. Have you zeroed in on a favorite yet?

I was thinking... I wish there was a good way for us to make a trade and get Coby White while still keeping our core intact...(Sigh)

After reading about him a bit, if NAW isn't there, in addition to Porter and Langford, I wouldn't mind Keldon Johnson. He needs some coaching up, but I think he brings some intangibles that could really help us in the long run.

Looking at the list of most common picks from NBA.com, it seems Little is dropping. Some have said that is a guy they want. Haven't seen him play, but looking at his measurables, and reading about his skill set, etc. he seems like Iwundu. Personally, I like Iwundu and think his game is coming along. In this situation, I would probably draft Alexander-Walker because I think we could use a SG more than a SF. Am I off base here?
