ross and vucevic are having a great start, at least offensively. I am surprised by ross jump shot improvement. If he can keep this up, we would only need fournier to join their level and be competitive. BTW, george hill is and has always been a good player. Wanted him here long time ago. Also, does anyone know why frazier does not get any minutes?

gordon is not the problem. he will provide scoring, hustle, boards. But he will not provide it like an alpha dog would. gordon should be the supporting star of this team, a la pippen or klay thompson (not comparing gordon to them, just the roles) we need to find THE star...that can be complemented with gordon, bamba and (maybe) isaac. the only ones who should be in the team in 2-3 years are them plus simmons, dj (from the bench) and ross. vuc should expire or be traded now as he has been better this season. fournier should be a bench guy who is brought in to score (the only thing he knows how to do).

I meant Gordon for beal, as an example. of course I would support any Gordon trade that nets us a far better player. At the moment I am willing to wait on him to go full oladipo and breakout soon. As I do with Isaac and bamba in a couple of seasons.

How the times have changed. We are the worst team in terms of PPG with a bit over 100. I remember years ago where some teams could be even under 90, and not just one. Also, the best defensive team is boston at "just" 99.5.

We have to give more time to the new GMs and try to have some stability after the constant changes in the last 5 years. The problem is not theirs. This black hole was created exclusively by hennigan performing one of the worst 5 trades in history with ibaka for oladipo and sabonis. It set us back 5 years. We have to stay patient and see how they draft and trade in the next couple of seasons. We were not going to be a contender this year, anyway.

Was a fan of dragic, but for what we are trying to achieve is either rubio or one of the younger guys. dragic's age is a huge negative.

Also, are we on a lousy streak of bad defensive PGs or something? jameer, elfrid, now dj. all capable, decent offensive guards with horrible D.

To add rozier to an already dynamic and competitive group featuring a grown isaac, a mature gordon and bamba's upside, then we have something going.

Yesterday was the first time Isaac showed why he was a top pick. if he can continue, then we can compete. This is the key as he is the biggest question mark. We know what we will get from Gordon and with bamba we will get defense and some finishes, for now. So ji is the wild card here, as far as he goes, we will go.

Great offense by the starting 5. Gordon looks like a superstar. awful offense by the bench. Grant bamba and ross doing some stupid things

I would only take butler because I think we need this type of personality and scorer. However my preference is to wait out, sign rozier and add another high draft pick. We would be better positioned that way.

It was a nice sight of gordon and bamba. Liked their intensity. Was surprised to see them settle for so many jump shots instead of attacking the rim. Also bamba's putbacks were great. as I said before, I am not happy with fournier and vucevic. But we need to get as many points from them in offensive end as possible this season (their last with us, hopefully) so all the work that BIG does on the defensive end is not in vain.

You can really see a difference on the defensive positioning with isaac. I was sick of watching fournier let his man go past him effortless. isaac really stands up and holds his ground on D. I keep thinking isaac gordon and bamba can become something special in 2/3 years, this is why I think we are just an FA and high draft pick away from being a contender. It will depend a lot on who we choose / go after, and of course, avoiding the injury bug.

Agree. It wouldn't the worst scenario, either, as I think this team is starting to get some important pieces. Adding a high pick next year with gordon under contract, isaac and bamba developing and maybe rozier as a FA, then this team is a possible 4-5 in the East.
