Haha yup. I think we know what everyone else is going to bring us, more or less. Fultz is the only real mystery but realistically we really shouldn't expect (if he's healthy and plays the whole season) anything more than 10/3/3 a game this season. We just need some tease snaps of Fultz draining like two 3's in the gym to really get us talking on here though.

Players in the NBA are paid based on demand and/or production. All teams will give increases based on what they believe a players market worth is, no more but sometimes less. At the end of the day, the NBA is a business like any other and smart teams/businesses aren't going broke for any particular individual they know won't bring them much return. Maybe the Magic like Vucevic or Ross (or anyone else) as humans beings but if they didn't believe Vooch and Ross add value to the team, they wouldn't have offered them a dime, doesn't really matter how much they like them. Businesses don't carry human emotions, only a bottom line. In the NBA there are two bottom lines, money and winning. With Vooch and Ross, the Magic are more likely to win games and filling seats. Players know all of this and will go where they feel happiest and/or are getting paid the most. Some players just go play in cities they love, some other players will go to the team that give them best chance of winning a championship. No player moves to a team because its the most loyal out of any other lol. It's cute believing a company cares about you and loves you or what not but that's not realistic. Again, this is just my opinion.

Honestly, I believe players don't really care that much about "loyalty". Most people (in any work environment) don't really wonder about loyalty. With me, I come in to work and ask myself "Do I mind coming in to work here everyday? Ehhhh... not really.. Am I getting paid well? Sure, I guess". These are the usual questions most people ask themselves everyday. People really only start wondering about their jobs when they're burned out (and need a change of scenery), want more money, want to further advance their careers, or they can't grow with their current company. Sure, their might be a couple of folks that really really care about loyalty but most don't. I don't see how basketball players would be any different. There's a ton of teams out there that have been nothing but loyal to their players, but major free agents are not racing to join these teams. IMO, the only thing the Magic can hope for is that our younger players become stars or at least good enough that we can use them in a trade for a disgruntled super star. I guess we could also get lucky with trading for some misused players or reclamation projects.

On offense he reminds me a lot of Ben Simmons... minus all of the playmaking ability ofcourse lol. Pretty good finisher at the rim, hard to stop once he gets rolling, and he has a solid floater/spin hook. I don't know if he has star potential but he could definitely be a solid player.

Yeah the Mavs just got Porzingis, why would they want to spend money on Vooch? Unless he's coming in for cheap to play off of the bench or something.. I'm not really getting why some writers are trying to push the idea. Are they just trying to make the Mavs into the Eastern Euro team? lol

In other words, we better win one more game to make sure we secure our spot. I guess other teams can lose the rest of their games and we could still make it that way (mathematically at least), but if we win one more we're definitely in.

Considering how poorly the magic are shooting , I think they're doing pretty well. Only thing I'm worried about is the team running out of gas in the second half.

Sooo now that we have Fultz, when is the kid going to start playing?? Initially he was supposed to be out 3-6 weeks but its been about that long already. Has anyone heard anything since?

Yup and who knows if he becomes the "piece" that makes us contenders in the east. You just never know how these trades will go. He could be the perfect player to compliment our current team. He's definitely worth the gamble if the price isn't too high.

Simmons (and Fournier at times) playmaking is really hurting us. Theres basically zero playmaking off the bench. It says a lot about Grant and Briscoe that they can't get minutes even with Simmons playing at his worst...

Washington can't fully rebuild since they're stuck with Wall forever, so send Fournier and Simmons plus our first rounder and perhaps Mavs can fill in with some 2nd Rounders. We take DSJ and Wes Matthews, Mavs take Beal and Grant. I don't know if it would be possible to keep our 1st rounder in this scenario though, it really wouldn't be fair without the 1st rounder. Still feels like Wizards would be getting the short end of the stick but who cares, they're the Wiz! lol

Yup. Playing hard on both sides of the court for a full game is really difficult even in a park setting, I cant imagine the NBA. Occasionally you'll get the sloppy play or two. There's definitely nothing to complain about from Gordon's game last night, dude was everywhere.

Weight is overrated, it's all about strength. You can weigh 215lbs and be just strong as someone that's 250lbs. This is how Harden pushes everyone out of the way despite being 220lbs.

Yup. With how efficient Gordon was (before injury), I think we had a good chance of making it. I just wonder if Gordon could've kept going the rest of the season shooting that well.

I'm not sure what the worry is with IT. If we're just signing him to a 1 or 2 year deal, I think there isn't much of an issue. He either works out or he doesn't, our long term success doesn't hinge on IT being great. If we want to be a good team, we have to hope our frontcourt turns into something special. I'm pretty sure no one is beating the warriors anytime soon anyways lol. Develop the front court and hope for the best!
