Zhaire looking good. Glad he’s recovered.

It’s too bad for Thybulle that he has to be a 6ers rookie. We’ll be hearing about his new diagnosis with Maple Syrup Urine Disease or something in the coming weeks.

My wife and I thought my son had that until we stopped feeding him pancakes. Problem solved.

Turn your phone sideways and you can sort of make sense of them, but not sure what the point is.

Thanks it worked! The point was just that I didnt understand anything which was counter productive to any contribution I might have to player discussions

If one or two of Fultz, Isaac and Gordon have a real breakout year, and we stay healthy, we might get close to 50 wins. I’m thinking 44 is more realistic.

There will be a real window in the beginning of the season while unfamiliar teams get acclimated to pile up wins

    Nah. There's no trade.

We'll go into next season with this rotation:

    Augustin-Fournier-Isaac-Gordon-vucevic

    Fultz-Ross-iwundu-aminu-Bamba

And in the middle of the season when we learn more about guys we have the ammunition to do a 3 for 1 if we want to do that.

That's a solid rotation if it plays out that way

We know that Weltman and Hammond don't leak things, and that this front office has blind-sided us consistently with things like Bamba's pick, Gordon's money, even the recent qualifying offer to Amile Jefferson. It is just not consistent with the way they have done business the last several years; so there must be something else in play.

I have two completely different takes on this "leak". One is that the leak came from Vuc's camp, in an effort to drive up his value, which someone already pointed out as a possibility.

The second is a much deeper chess-like move. What if this "leak" isn't for Vuc, but is a message to TRoss? Ross said weeks ago that he was interested in what this team was going to do with Vuc; whether they would try to retain the loyal, (regular season) most consistent player. This big number "slipping" out there indicates that they are actively pursuing Vuc. They can even say "we don't know where that came from, look at our history, we don't leak"; but the fact it is out there sends that message to Ross. They can then negotiate and re-sign Ross, while still "negotiating" with Vuc.

Personally, I don't think this came from our front-office, as it just doesn't fit what we have seen in the past from them. But, whether they "leaked" this number or not, I think they can use the leak to their advantage. Also, the leak itself doesn't obligate them to actually pay Vuc that, especially if they are consistently saying "we don't know where that came from, we don't leak".

I agree and it's making tomorrow evening that much more excited.

Double sign and trade Harrison Barnes for Vucevic

Firstly, I don't think we'll be able to trade him when we're ready.

Secondly, training wheels are used to learn to ride a bike. They don't alter the action of riding the bike much, they just make it a little easier to learn. Vuc with this roster, and the style of play we will play when he's gone is like putting training wheels on running shoes or something, completely counter productive.

    That's a fair assessment

Because he's not an extraordinary offensive player (he's not a closer, shot creator, high volume guy) you can divide his offensive responsibilities between the rest of the rotation and they'll absorb it.

But who's creating gravity against defenses on this team?

Guys, relax. I wish our management was Morey,Presti or Masai. The last 5 to 10 years many have said these guys were at the forefront. Only Masai has the ring but i've always been impressed by the other two. They spot talent, they aren't afraid to make a mistake, they make moves!

But fellas, it's 90 million dollars. This isn't Biyombo all over again.I am on the side that knew Elfrid,Vooch and Fournier weren't taking us anywhere. We all saw mediocrity. Vucevic will age well, he is an asset. While other franchises are throwing 100 million plus contracts at guys who did things in the past, i'm sure he will be good in the future.

Why am i so sure? He always was the most consistent player the whole rebuild. Even Oladipo has only had one good year!. SO.........R.E.L.A.X.

I hated the same guys you did the whole rebuild. Vooch will be the same guy the whole 4 years. If Evan can have a rebound year and even one of our guys break out we are good! After the draft i had a revelation, they have a plan! So lets not be disgusted by resigning our all-star to less then 100 million. Lets move forward, and wait for the big move.

It's coming within a year or two.

Edit: if the contract holds it's not a star contract. Look around after the week, all the stars will be getting 140- 180 million.

Heck look at the contracts for Lowry, Derozan and Ibaka. None of them were really at the level they are getting paid yet each in his own way paved the way for a ring!

I couldnt agree with you more.

If we sign Vuc to that deal and then trade Mo I'm not sure I'll ever recover from it.

Mo is exactly the center we need for this roster we're building. If he's not ready to start then get a stop gap signing, it isn't hard to do that.

Why bother building a roster with all these athletic, two way, uptempo kind of players then put Vuc as the centre piece. It's just completely absurd. If Mo is the exact center for the roster we are building, Vuc is the polar opposite.

Vuc is this rosters training wheels. When were ready to roll without him,  take him off.

  10. So who else on this team is ready to put up an efficient 20 and 12? Who's ready to be a go to option? Were still developing our high ceiling guys. AG was the up and comer but hes discovered his role to be a lock down defender and Jack of all trades offensively. Next is isaac and discover his best role then bamba and hopefully fultz then okeke. You have to have patient and they to get better each year. You cant just throw out quality players because you project a player to hopefully be better then him one day.

I do like the idea of making a run at Satoransky, he does strike me as a WeltHam kind of player, and on a positive note, Washington has some tough calls to make this off-season, as far as their free agents and the cap goes. They are probably going to lose Trevor Ariza, and I'm not sure that if will try to keep Jabari Parker or not. Those two guys made a lot of money last year, and Parker is looking for a raise on his $20M from last year. They have five RFA's this summer, if they make the qualifying offer to all of them - Sam Dekker, Bobby Portis, Tomas Satoransky, Thomas Bryant, and Chasson Randle. I don't see a way for them to keep them all, especially with the moves they have already made bringing in guys from Philly and LAL.

I think parker is an unrestricted free agent this summer

Satoransky would be a really smart pickup because he can play 3 positions depending on what you need. So if Fultz never plays he's a great backup point guard. If Fultz is a star he can be your backup 2/3 as he's a great floor spacer.

Yeah of be really happy if we got him

It is a shame in a year when free agency is loaded that we are one year away from having the kind of money needed to pursue them.  Thanks Hennigan.  Your point #1 would be justice for our FO and the 76'er's many years of tanking.  Laker's appear to be on the verge of correcting their mistake with Russell.  I hope giving up on Fultz becomes the 76'er's nighmare and our All Star.

I feel like if Fultz becomes all star quality then hes also gonna be superstar quality as he has the physical gifts to dominate
