The Great Carlos Arroyo Debate!!!

Recommended Posts

CarlosDarwin and Ibone, this one is especially for you guys. Rather than adding anymore into the Dwight thread, I am creating a brand new thread especially for you and anyone else that believes that Carlos was pushed out of town by Dwight, Jameer, Stan, The Easter Bunny, George W. Bush, Brett Favre, whoever.

I will be moving any posts that you make with regard to this subject in any other thread into this thread from here on out.

With regard to how Dwight's maturity and how he handles criticism, how did he react when Stan called him out very publically? He went out and had a monster game and said that he agreed and understood what his coach was trying to get out of him. Yep, that sounds like a poor attitude from a prima-donna that literally runs the team.

CarlosDarwin:

Yes, he played like a monster after that because he got what he wanted: Jameer (his buddies) was put back into the starting rotation! Remember?

You honestly believe that 1 has to do with the other don't you? Here are some fun facts-

Games played by Carlos and his mins leading up to the Cle game (after which the blow up occured) and after the Denver game (where Dwight responded).

Feb 4th-29min

Feb 6th-6mins

Feb 8th-DNP

Feb 11th-10 **The Cleveland game**

Feb 13th-DNP **The Denver game**

Feb 19th-DNP

After that he doesn't play till Feb 27th for 4 mins.

Jameer was out from Jan 16th to Jan 30, 11 days before the game that you claim Dwight pouted and got Carlos demoted. Jameer went back to starter mins on Feb 6th, 5 days before you claim Dwight pouted and got Carlos demoted. Please tell me again how you came up with Dwight causing this? jajajajajaja

Why don't we just call it what it is, you are running around posting every chance you get about how Carlos was wronged and you are looking for someone to blame. There is no one to blame, his contract was up, he was a duplication of what we already had locked up long term so he was not needed. Face it.

Sometimes, Marc, in order to truly understand some facts, you need more facts!

Last season we started the month of January with 2 wins and 6 loses! Exactly from January the 2nd to January 16th. Nelson was the starting PG for those games. After that, Nelson had (for me) a questionable ankle injury!

From January 19th until January 30th we finished the month of January with 5 wins and only 1 game lost, with 2 wins in a row to finish the month. Arroyo was our starting PG for that period.

The Magic then continued with another 2 wins in a row to begin the month of February(February the 1st and 2nd). That makes it 4 wins in a row with Arroyo as starting PG. So far the Magic are 7 wins and only 1 lost with Arroyo starting. On the next scheduled game for February the 6th Arroyo started again but played roughly only 6 minutes of the game, Nelson was put back in the rotation (after having received many DNPs in a row even though he was healthy to play already) and played the rest of the game. The Magic won that game (8 wins and 2 loses with Arroyo starting).

Now we can explain better what happened next between Dwight and SVG.

Nelson started the next 2 games, which we lost in a row, after having gone 8 and 2 with Arroyo as the starter. In the second game of this short losing streak (on February the 11th) is when SVG had the incident with Dwight. What really went on between SVG and Dwight that night? we probably will never know, 'cause what it is explained to the media has more to do with keeping a good image and/or public relations. But my explanation is the following:

After having a disastrous beginning in January (only 2 wins and 6 loses) Dwights buddie went to the bench. Arroyo comes to the rescue and the team goes for a 10 game stretch of 8 wins and only 2 loses. After Dwight (and this is my very personal interpretation, ) puts pressure on SVG (probably Otis) Nelson returns to the starting rotation. [note apart: It was always very strange, to say the least, that Arroyo was suddenly benched after having such a good performance with the team going 8wins and only 2 loses]. Dwight got what he wanted, but the team starts to lose again, two gamaes in a row precisily with Nelson starting after all the pressure Dwight had probabluy put over Otis and SVG. Of course that SVG had to be mad at Dwight. Probably back stage he gave Dwight hell. Next game, on February 13th, Dwight had a Monster game! What would had happened if the Magic were to lose that game that night? Nelson to the bench? Who knows, because Dwight monster night did not let that tohappen!

Or, a simpler way to state this type of argument: a monkey has two legs; a duck has two legs. Therefore, a monkey and a duck are the same.

You have no basis to tie the two together. None whatsoever. The level of speculation required makes the JFK assassination conspiracy theories seem simplistic.

You failed to mention "national security" as the factor to allow you to isolate any Arroyo subject matter as a "conspiracy" The conspiracy is generated by plentiful data quoted here by many but never really discounted by similar data except for administration decision based on national security. Lets see, how popular it becomes. The next step would be a message board grand jury to evaluate the data.LOL

I'm pretty sure this has already occured.

The question that still is open is;Why was Arroyo benched while the team was winning? Why after becoming the third option PG, he was the starter replacement instead of Dooling? Why was he not invited after Dooling made his move and he showed interest to talk about money?

Why Otis didnt want him back at no costs?

Did Stan say, "No Dooling, then no Arroyo"

Because Arroyo is slightly more of a pure PG then Dooling, even though both are shoot first guards.

Because we didn't want Arroyo back, plain and simple. We wanted size and defense at our backup PG position, and we got it.

BECAUSE, BECAUSE, BECAUSE
