ThisIsTheYear Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 Not sure about winning it all but.........I know that we could thrash the Cavs. We always seem to avoid them and attract Detroit. I think it's Destiny. Last year, during a Pacers game, Ike Diogu (who was an 80+% FT shooter) could have sealed the game with only one freethrow at the end, and he missed them both. One of them could have paired us with Cleveland, but instead..... Well, you know the rest. Quote
DarkoHero Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 One cannot be the best until they beat the best! Celtics, Lakers, Pistons, Chicago, Houston, Lakers, Pistons/Spurs. Those were the teams in order who were the best for the last 3 decades. Sure Miami got in one on a fluke. Magic will have to break through like each team on the list had to beat the one before it. Celtics held off the Lakers and the Pistons, the Lakers held off the Pistons one year, the Pistons held off the Bulls for a couple of years, Houston broke through, then Lakers won a couple, then the Pistons beat them, and then the Spurs beat them, and on and on it goes.
