It came down to a lot mental mistakes that we made. We could have as easily won the series as we just lost it."

 

"Our current players have to continue to improve. And we have to bring in some different players and more players to make our team better," Smith said. "You can't throw this same team out there and expect different results. That's the definition of insanity. We have to look for ways to improve our team.

This will be one of the most important offseasons in franchise history. We'll get a chance to see what our managements made of this summer.

 

For Otis' sake, he better get things right this time around or he'll be looking for a job come this time next year.

It's obvious Otis is going to get new players. He's not a moron. The question is who? That will determine whether we have a good GM, or a bad GM. Adding Lewis was a great move apart from his contract, so let's see who he can get with the limited amount of money we have this year. Like I said in another thread, there is no way he can overpay someone this year. Right?

How we can be better team than Detroit when they beat us without Billups.

I think the Detroit series made it vey clear we need to get another bigman who can pull down rebounds. We got killed on the boards especialy late in games. It wouldnt suprise me to maybe see turk go aswell, i can imagine his stock is high at the moment and some team might offer us a deal that is too good to turn down. It'l be a very interesting offseason

I know it's supposed to be about Otis, but this quote sticks out to me. I am glad to hear this type of quote, because usually when something bothers you so much that you can't sleep and it's on your mind so heavily, it will stick with you and motivate you.
