Kryptonite! Players play different in the playoffs some shot more (Lewis ,Jameer) that is going to reduce the points Howard is going to score plus the great defense Detroit played,they could not feed Howard inside

Theres no doubt that he was completely frustrated with the way Detroit attacked him. And that affected his play a lot.

 

If he was a 75% FT shooter, im sure that the Pistons would have rethought their strategy.

 

Dwight also has to learn to get closer to the basket before he makes his moves. His position a lot of times is too far out and that makes him very prone to turnovers or those wild shots we saw alot of this series. Im not saying that he shouldnt get the ball first option, but hes got to pass it out and get closer to the basket before attempting an offensive move.

 

And he needs a nice little consistant jumper.

 

He not only takes us to a ring with those adjustments but hes the MVP hands down if he improves those things.

Dwights struggles are obvious at times, but its nothing that we havent seen before.

 

But that should not be a concern to any of us.

 

Every year Dwight comes back with something new, something refined, and more intensity. He is very aware of his own struggles and does his due diligence to correct them, so they do not become a factor when it counts.

 

At 22yrs old, he is way beyond 90% of the players playing at his age, he is beyond 60% of the players playing in the NBA. He has alot of youth on his side, he has a great skills coach in Pat, he has good role players around him, and he has the franchise behind him.

 

He will get better.

 

I will say that im happy to see Dwight get frustrated, im happy to see him stumble in big games.

The reason is he will learn not what to do "now" , which will benefit the team "later" when we are playing for the Championship.

 

In the end Superman is human, Dwight is human, and Humans make mistakes all day long.

Once Dwight can start hitting his free-throw shots, and cut down on his turnovers he'll be almost perfect. He has done better this season than last season, one major reason the magic came this far.

Simple, too much expectations of this great player, too much comparisson with elite centers, too much pressure on him, I personally feel he has peaked and he will be a record achieving defensive-rebounding player but will never develop the rest of the offensve moves to make him an elite center. Only time will tell in the next couple of years. There is something missing from his psyche and the genes.

One positive to come out of this season, D12 established a nick for himself. Thank God, some of the nicks floating around here were just awful. Now, if only SVG can establish one. I'm just not feelin that Stan Van Dam thang...

Tayshaun is more like the "Rubber Band Man" because of his length, and the fact that he comes out of nowhere to block your shot, you thought you had (Victims: Reggie, Turk, etc)
