SmackDaddy Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 quote: They also said the team did well in the early part of the year because the other teams didn't know what to expect. The competition made adjustments and have us figured out. We haven't made adjustments to counter act this. Isn't this what we have been saying all year long on this board? Brian Hill has not changed a single thing about how he prepares for games, coaches games, or responds to losses. B HIll, "Duh, I don't know why we keep losing. We'll just try the same thing tomorrow and the next day, and the next day, and the next day to see if things miraculously change." Quote
the last don Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 No one is cooked in the Eastern Conference at this point. A 3 or 4 game win streak could have you go up 5 or 6 slots in the playoff picture. We still have to find better role players such as a defensive minded, young power forward to complement D12 unlike Darko. We already have 2 defensive minded wings with Ariza and Dooling, we needed to trade Grant Hill's contract for Ray Allen and we would have a chance to compete in the East? Quote
DarkoHero Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 I usually only get to hear the games, not watch them. I just watched the Spurs video and noticed something, no one on the Magic is moving! Watch the Pistons play. Rip will drive a defense crazy by running around all day long. Nelson's tear drop was a miracle not a great play. Watch the video again, watch the game tonight and tell me, do you see the guys without the ball moving? Now watch the great teams. Do you see what I mean? Quote
SmackDaddy Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 All the good teams have a player on offense that is constantly moving. Detroit has Rip. Washington has Arenas Chicago has Gordon and Heinrich Miami has Wade Dallas Has Howard Phoenix has several players San Antonio has Ginobli Denver has Iverson cleveland has Lebron LA has Kobe Houston has McGrady All of these players are constantly moving and keeping the defense's attention. We have 3-4 guys waiting outside the 3pt line for Dwight or Darko to get position and make moves in the post. Or, we run iso plays while the other 4 players wait on the weak side. Quote
Caco Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 Let's not mix things up. One thing is to be playing horribly, and another very different is to be out of the playoff race. The Heat and the Nets aren't very consistent teams either, and they lose their games as well. From where I can see, the Magic can't do much worse than how they are playing right now. So I expect them to improve their game in the final part of the season. If they manage to cut turnovers let's say, to 15 per game in the last 23 games we are very likely to win several matches. We beat Chicago with 27 TOs and could have beaten Denver with some better decisions even tough we had 25 TOs. What I mean is that we have a lot of room for improvement, while the Heat and the Nets don't. They can't play much better than they are now. They will keep playing near .500, possibly below that mark, but if we improve in some areas (specially TOs) to normal standards we have a good shot at making the playoffs. Quote
Undisputed4 Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 Sir Charles is usually correct. We are def. not makin the playoffs Quote

The Solution Posted March 3, 2007 Author Report Posted March 3, 2007 quote: Originally posted by Undisputed4:Sir Charles is usually correct. We are def. not makin the playoffs Yes, we are cooked and ready to be served. A wee bit over done I would say. Quote
sgorly Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 the magic are not making it to the playoffs not because "Sir Charles" says so but because BRIAN HILL says so! His post game interviews he has consistently been saying "i dont know what to do" and that is what worries me. That should be a red flag for the owners and the GM but then again it is the magic Quote
FanSince1990 Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 quote: Originally posted by CRAZY SERB:i think the reason we're losing is because we have a retard instead of a coach. we have 2 great 3p shooter on our roster but they aren't playing. we have a great young SF who plays great D but he only plays 20mpg, hedo, a defensive genius is starting. jameer running the offense? here's the spurs game. look at this, at 80-77 jameer has the ball, he doesn't know what to do with it, no passes, no play, just individual ****. after some offensive rebounds he finally made the 3pointer but that's not it... You said it well. Quote
