Playoffs Game 2 April 22, 7:30 PM

Recommended Posts

In the beginning of time dinosaurs ruled parts of Earth. This angered one large, green Dragon to no end. He thought and thought about what he could possibly do about this.

He had the idea of a giant meteor, but would it be possible to only hit the section that the dinosaurs resided? He thought this might be possible, so he decided to go ahead with his plan. He mustered up the biggest, most powerful meteor he could find and thrust it down toward Earth...

He began to wonder if maybe this idea wouldn't work, but it was too late...

But it worked!! The green Dragon was so happy!!! He finally rid the Earth of the dinosaurs!! Never again would the dinosaurs cause problems to humans...

There was one small problem...

But as it turned out, that was a minor problem. Everyone knew the truth now...

From Jerry Greene:

quote:

You've got to make more noise. No, correct that, you've got to make a different noise.

The Magic gave out something call a Rally Racket, which looks like a table tennis paddle with a ball attached to each side.

Cute -- but clearly not effective. Today, the Magic are going back to the traditional Thunderstix, but I fear the Dinos have adjusted to those, too.

No, we need something different -- something distracting.

We need a cacophony, a clamor, a din, a dissonance. We need:

*Tubas -- Think about it. If you're standing at the foul line and facing a couple of hundred tuba players, that's got to be distracting -- especially if they're playing Achy Breaky Heart.

*Armpit noises -- This is for the fans who can't afford a tuba -- but you still have to learn Achy Breaky Heart.

*Clucking -- Swear to God I once watched a mixed chorus cluck "The William Tell Overture." Awesome, dude.

*Musical saws -- Disconcerting and a little frightening.

*Kazoos -- We all love kazoos! Hey, maybe an entire Magic jug band!

Finally, my best suggestion that I'm getting a trademark on right now:

*Whoopee cushions -- Hundreds of fans frantically bouncing on their blue-and-white Magic whoopee cushions, led by the Fat Guy.

The Dinosaurs would be lucky if they hit the rim.

I love it, the "survival of the fittest" game thread!

I don't think the Raptors knew what hit them in game one, I expect more of the same in game two.

I'll post on the hilarity of the post in a few minutes after i read it. On a second note. Steve from the Orlando Magic just called me wanting to know if i'd gotten tickets for tomorrow night's game. Which i had. He says they're ALMOST sold out for tomorrow's game..and they're just trying to get rid of the rest of the tickets as quickly as they can.

GET OUT THERE AND BUY SOME TICKETS PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!

GO MAGIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(posting from work...still with blue paint in my hair....and i have absolutely no voice, LOL)

I LOVE MY OUR TEAM

They need to come out and try to kill Tor. No letting up, no over confidence, they need to come out and try to crush their spirit before this goes to Tor.

I would also say that anyone going to the game needs to bring that same type of energy. I don't want to see a tight series, I want us to put them away before they have any sort of a chance to feel good about themselves.
