The goal of most players is to become a starter. The goal of any PG should be to run his own team. So I don't blame him for wanting it. But at the same time you know some guys are not going to be good enough for that, or maybe are complacent on being the backup. I think Carlos is at that point, where he probably knows he is good as a backup, and in this team, he is almost as good if not better than the starter, which means that even if he is the backup he will have some games where he plays longer than the starter, etc. So I would believe he is happy being the backup in Orlando. I'm pretty sure he would hate to go to a team with a Billups, Paul, etc, etc where you know he will only play 5-10 minutes if that. Now if a team offers him the starting position that's a different story. Quote

Well, I think money will always be an issue. I don't think that Arroyo would take any kind of money offered, but I agree that maybe he is willing to take less than what he is making right now just to remain here as the regular backup PG. Quote

He wont stay as a 3rd PG and money does count since its his last contract. Quote

He's a FA, he can go where ever he wants, or more accurately where ever he can find a home. Can't envision him landing anywhere with a designated starting role or a contract greater than the one he has in the NBA however. There are maybe five teams where he'd have an opportunity to start next year depending on how things shake out between now and then. Quote

Plus isn't good to be a backup of another backup and being even Dooling (who doesn't run a team is in front of him )? IMHO Carlos already has his mind done. Quote
