~O~ Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 JD, I simply had to start this game thread because this is the only team that I have never seen the Magic beat in seasonal play on television ever since the start of me being committed to this team as a fan. The Orlando Magic need this win not only as an ego boost but for the playoff push! The spot the Magic are trying to clinch hasn't been taken yet but will it be taken by the New Jersey Nets? What could have been a 6 game win streak could shredded by the NBA referees who can't keep there whistles quiet when it come to this Orlando Magic team. It took Darko Milicic to finally give the referees something to remember. Its ashame to see Grant Hill of all protecting the referees instead of defending Darko's case. One of the losses in that 13-4 start by the Magic came from these Grizzlies who had Pau Gasol out watching the game on the bench in street clothes. In this game, Hedo Turkoglu was in a deep blizzard as he was the only Magic player to off on that day which came at the cost of that game in which the Grizzlies took the lead away from the Magic and won the game. Now its time to turn the tables but will the Magic be able but will this young and talented Magic basketball team be up to a win knowing in the depth of their thoughts that this team should have won six in a row if it weren't for the fact that they play against 2 teams every night? .:::Last Game Struggles:::. Berto Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 Easy games for the Magic don't exist anymore, It really wouldn't suprise me if this was another game that went down to the wire. Pau Gasol will probably give us some problems in the post. If our guards can't penetrate at will in this game than that's just really sad. Orlando 108 Memphis 103 Dwight 15 points 14 rebounds Jameer 17 points 6 assists 4 tos Grant 21 points Quote
Robert56 Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 I hope Darko brings that mean temper of his to the next game. I really want to see the Darko that Joe Durmar drafted again, not the one that these NBA coaches have turned him into. Quote

The Magic love this kind of thought. It's not their fault their losing; it's the ref's fault !! Yeah, that's it !!! Please. Darko blatantly fouled Bosh, then acted like a child. I'm a Darko fan, but he has to grow up. Quit making excuses for this team. The NBA refs are pretty bad, but they're bad for all teams. It's just the losers that use it for an excuse. It will be interesting to see who guards Mike Miller in this game. Ariza comes to mind, but do we really want him that far from the basket? If he gets hot, does this open a door for Bogans to be given an opportunity to come in and try to shut him down? You know he would come out with high energy, because his legs are fresh and he has something to prove. I expect a close game, but the Magic should win. Not sure they will, but they definitely should. Mr Charisma Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 O-dub, this is a home game for the Magic, so in your game preview statistics, you might want to list the stats for the Magic at home and the Grizzlies on the road. You currently have it opposite. Quote
richnba Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 Well Memphis has the worst record in the league so I say Memphis by 12. Quote
Donzy Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 Kberto you idiot first of all jameer never scores that many points unless u add an important stat lets see 17 pts on 7-26 shooting maybe and you forgot to tag in there dwights 6 to's im sure he'll get, grant might have 21 who knows he might leave in the first or second quarter to like he does and what about turkoglu granted hes streaky but he typically scores a lot of points if orlando doesnt win this game I'll be pissed but not surprised they dont even act like they want to be in the playoffs blowin to down the wire games to 2nd rate teams and heres a fun stat for you jameer nelson taking game winning shots 0-4 in the last two games who gives him the ball o yea hes the point guard who doesnt pass it i forgot Quote

You know he would come out with high energy, because his legs are fresh and he has something to prove. I expect a close game, but the Magic should win. Not sure they will, but they definitely should. Calls on offensives fouls have gone against us and on the other side we have gotten blocking fouls. Hedo Turkoglu getting armpited on the neck by Paul Pierce with a referee right in front of it! The call was an out of bounds and to the Celtics which forced a double overtime loss. Then a bogus foul 1 game after that to get Ricky Davis the three point play. Then on the other side we have a Jameer fouled on a layup attempt. Forces overtime and the Magic lose again. Then last night....one of the most worst nights in league history if you ask me in which this team was called out by the clandestine cult the referees have against this team. Bosh gets anything he desires. Bosh even gets fouled off condensation and the referees will still call the foul on a Magic player. And don't make me mention that TREVOR ARIZA, our best defender, fouls out of the game!?!?!? Don't you see? These referees our simply taking advantage of what their capabilities are. Referees know they are protected by something called the National Basketball Association which is not afraid of anyone involved with the NBA and won't hesitate to fine for talking trash about the referees. So they continue to do what they want! Jeff Van Gundy would agree with me. "The Referees have some sort of secret vandetta against Yao and our team." Instead of letting the play go on, the referees were whistle happy last night and giving the Raptors every opportunity to win at the free throw line!! I've even seen stints in which they blow inadvertently just to call something on our team!!! Oh My God!! Isn't it obvious! Quote

SOME STREAMING OPTIONS; quote: With the recent availability of apps such as TVUPlayer (link) and Sopcast (link) and their ability to broadcast TV channels over the internet at what are usually watchable quality levels, the availability of NBA games and, more specifically, Magic games has increased. In an effort move all such streaming TV-related discussion into a single thread, I've created this thread. Hopefully this can help keep people informed of where and when to catch their NBA games online and also cut down on the large number of threads created to discuss these viewing options. Please note that you generally need a highspeed connection to access these feeds. Also note that channels on TVUPlayer and Sopcast can regularly appear and disappear at the discretion of the kind individuals hosting them. TVUPlayer http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Internet-Radio-TV-Player/TVUPlayer.shtml Relevant channels: RaptorsTV (sometimes) MSG (sometimes) NBATV ESPN1 and ESPN2 Sopcast http://www.sopcast.org/ On Sopcast you are more likely to find feeds related to specific events (i.e. games). You will often find games that are broadcast on FSN being shown through this app. Turkish Channel Check this link out when there are Magic games. Chances are, its available for viewing.
