jack daniel 999 Posted March 2, 2007 Author Report Posted March 2, 2007 WHERE: AT&T Center, San Antonio. RECORDS: Magic 28-31; Spurs 39-18. BROADCASTS: TV -- ; Radio -- 580 AM (WDBO); Spanish-language 1030 AM (WONQ). MAGIC UPDATE: This could turn into a nightmare of a weekend. Already struggling, the Magic will be facing two of the league's best teams on back-to-back nights. They have committed 52 turnovers the last two games, and both the Spurs and Mavericks are teams that can smother you defensively. Young guns Dwight Howard and Jameer Nelson have been especially careless with the ball lately. SPURS UPDATE: They have won six consecutive games, including their last one Monday against Toronto. They will be well rested, although they might be a little rusty with so much time off between games. They have scored more than 100 points in each of the last three games, winning by an average of 18 points. Their last two losses came on consecutive games in Orlando and Miami. WHAT TO WATCH FOR: The Magic need a fast start, capitalizing on the Spurs' recent inactivity. Magic veteran Tony Battie could return after missing the last nine games with the fracture on his right thumb. He likely will return as a backup to both Howard and Darko Milicic. Spurs veteran Tim Duncan will try to get both Howard and Milicic into early foul trouble, which will hinder their effectiveness. Tim Povtak Quote
Jaybird Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 That pic of "Jameer's family" is too funny. On a different note, I wish we had Grant to come off the bench, but i'm certainly glad he isn't starting. Anyone know when is supposed to be back in B Hill's lineup? Quote
Secretly Space Jesus Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 I'm none too confident about this game. I foresee us doing alright on Duncan, but getting torn apart by Parker. Quote
Ned Ryerson Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 This will be a tough one... Duncan wants payback. Quote
royce59 Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 i'm sorry to say but i predict another loss due to the inadaquate coaching skills of Brian hill. Quote
jrrocky Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 The only reason we won the Spurs vs Magic game in the our home court was because of Nelson having the hot hand throughout the game, J.J's 3 point play at the end, and especially Dwights dunk at the end. But we were down 20 and we made an unbelievable comeback, we can't do the same if we go down more than 20 in there home court. And if I don't see J.J reddick in the game, just put a fork in the magics and call it a night. Quote
jack daniel 999 Posted March 2, 2007 Author Report Posted March 2, 2007 Otis says Jameer and Hedo disapointing ...Battie a little more time on IL. B. Hill...Dealing with it Play-offs - don''''t doubt it ...but need to pick it up. Interview on Inside Magic Quote
