I mean you always starting threads about Arroyo and maybe people are tired of seeing the same crap time after time. Its getting old now. But since Nelson got the extension and Arroyo didnt, Arroyo fans have to realize that Arroyo days are numbered now and even if he landed with the Cavs and Celtics or whoever, he will be in a better situation and probaly become the starter instantly. Arroyo future is bright, just not in Orlando according to Otis and the Nelson extension. Unless he wants to take a big pay cut to stay in Orlando but i doubt he does that.

I already know your reasoning and I do not disagree with it entirely, I just want Arroyo to remain in Orlando and you just want him out. I want Otis to remedy his earlier mistake of signing Nelson to such an unreasonable contract by at least trying to keep Arroyo in the team during the summer and you just want ...what?...get a bigger expensive and experimented PG that the team cannot afford?

im an arroyo fan and i also think is best for arroyo to leave.he deserves better and he is at least a valuable point guard that can help any team but i would like him to finish this season with orlando.then he can leave i love orlando and i want them to at least go to the finals i believe

I think that Otis will keep Arroyo until the end of the season and look around to try to find someone as equal or better, but if Jammeer is the starting PG of the future do you think that Otis will be paying more for a back-up PG than what he is paying Nelson, because that is what it would take to sign someone as good as Arroyo. So, I say, Otis will try to get Arroyo at the end of the season for the same money he is making now.

Get over it already, after this season, ARROYO IS DONE IN ORLANDO. He would be a fool to come back here for less money to play with us instead of good a good sized contract to a team that can use a good pg right now. Arroyo is done, Otis signed Nelson too soon but what can you do. It was his decision, not anybody else.

You seem to be a reasonable person, but in between lines I feel you somewhat hate Arroyo. Whether Arroyo will come back or not to Orlando remains to be seen. No doubt he has been playing good and the team is looking good with him as the starting PG. What will happen if Jameer comes back to start as PG and the Magic start to loose more games than they win for the remainder of the season? Do you think that Otis will let Arroyo go knowing what he can do and for the price that he can get him back? In Spanish we say "mas vale pajaro en mano que cientos volando" (a bird in your hands is worth more than a hundred flying birds).

Then that will reflect on Otis decision for making Nelson be known now as the future PG. Its Otis decision and he will have to deal with his actions. Nelson could or could not be the guy but Otis is investing the money into Nelson so we have to just go with it. I just dont want us to lose the guy and dont get nothing in return for him. You have already proved that Arroyo is amongst the top passers in the leage so why would he be a backup next season to Nelson if teams out there really needing a pg right now and will throw out alot of money for his services.

We let Grant Hill go for nothing and didnt get nothing in return. Maybe Otis tried to deal him, we will never know, but Hill is playing very good now and we couldve got some good players added to our team back then. SO we shouldnt make the same mistake again. This has nothing to do with me hating Arroyo cause i dont, hell i dont hate no players i just understand that the NBA is a business and Otis has to do whats best for the team.

I have nothing against Arroyo at all. I love what he brings to the team. However Otis thinks different by extending Nelson. If Arroyo comes back next year it WILL NOT be for the same amount hes making now. It will be less and for a player like Arroyo he can make even more money elsewhere. Why come back to the Magic and be a backup to Nelson when he could easily start for the Cavs.

They need a PG like Arroyo NOW. Maybe he rather say with this team but come on lets be real, if somebody offered him a bigger role and giving him more money, then why wouldnt he take it. The Cavs are contenders as well, they might be a PG away honeslty. That would be a better situation for Arroyo then here.

My point is that Otis has ALREADY made his decision on who he wants to keep. So its nothing you or anyone else can do to change that decision. The deal is done. So why keep bring up Arroyo vs Nelson crap when it means nothing now? Its basically a wasted argument. Very pointless. Unless Otis was planning to move Nelson which he hasnt said nothing of it yet, but Nelson isnt that valueable like Arroyo is now anyways.

Arroyo is a good PG that has an expiring contract. Teams that are trying to make changes love players like that. Even though Arroyo is playing good and has proven to be the better passing pg, Otis has made his decision and us Magic fans have to live with it. So why keep trying to prove to everybody that Arroyo is the better pg and should remain here? Im not bashing Arroyo at all, im just stating the facts.

Yea we might lose out on a good player but this wont be our first time. If your gonna blame someone for bashing or hating Arroyo blame Otis and the Magic organization, they made Nelson deal, not us. I hate none of our players, im just a fan and want whats best for the team.

I don't usually give Carlos much credit but I thought he played well last night and didn't make any more miscommunications than usual. I think he showed more leadership skills while he was on the floor than Dooling or Jameer. He demands they listen to him and do what is supposed to be done. SVG was not happy with Dooling on a couple of offensive plays. PGs are not perfect. Jameer got just enough PT to please his many fans who were in attendance. He got a lot of cheers.

Argument wise we are still in the same place, as I stated before "You seem to be a reasonable person, but in between lines I feel you somewhat hate Arroyo. Lets see what happens during the summer, because I do not think Carlos is going anywhere now unless a good PG coming from a trade happens, which I doubt very much. That means that right now we are"stuck" with both Carlos and Jameer. For me, the decision on whether Arroyo stays or not will depend on how Jameer plays after he is fully recovered from his injury, and since this is uncertain right now (after Jameer's poor performance yesterday-which I attribute to his injury being not over yet)looks that Otis has little time and/or alternatives to make a decision before the trade deadline. I mean, what happens if we trade Arroyo and Jameer's injury does not get better?

As of huge ARROYO FAN as you are, why would you want him to be a backup to Nelson when Otis has made it clear that he feels Nelson is the better PG. You should want ARROYO to be int he best situation.

Its not about what you, I or anybody else thinks, it what Otis thinks. And as of now Otis thinks Nelson is the PG of the future. If he didnt he wouldnt have gave Nelson that big extension. Makes no sense to extend a guy then have him play off the bench. That will only prove Otis decision making is terrible, which it is, but he has to guy with the guy he decides.

Meanwhile there is so many teams that need Arroyo now and will give him probaly Nelson type of contract if he decides to join them. I know you want Arroyo to be with Howard Lewis Turk when they win a championship but Otis thinks differently. If Otis wanted to keep Arroyo he wouldve gave Arroyo that extension not Nelson. They both had fair chances to prove themselves, they was given split time to prove their worth. Maybe he could be doubting his decision now for the nelson extension but he will never admit his mistake to the public. We all know that so its nothing he can do now.

The contract is already drawn up and signed so if Arroyo wants to comeback in a smaller role and less money than go to another team and became the man and start and get paid like a starter then thats on him. I dont know anybody thats wants to take a smaller position and get paid less money than take a higher position and more money. His agent needs to step in and suggest options for Arroyo other then remaining with the Magic and not getting paid his worth. Hes still young and valuable.

He needs to get as much money as he can while he can. Its all about money man. But if Arroyo is willing to make less money to remain here then we should keep him. Hell that would be a good deal for Otis if he can keep Arroyo for a less price.

Its really great to see players that still play for pride and passion for the game but at the end of the day, its still a business. He have to think whats best for his family. Everybody wants to play, why be a backup with the talent he has.
