God hates Magic fans 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2007 Our defense was good again late. Our bench is finally starting to give us good minutes, Key, JJ, Mo, Foyle all gave us excellent minutes. Lewis stroke is starting to come back. Hedo should get alot of all star votes! Dwight owned the defensive end and the Lakers swarming so much led to great looks. if our bench can keep giving us these minutes we are hard to beat, also anyone notice the 3 guard offense? we'd go Dooling, JJ, MO or Bogans it seemed to work very well. Two wins within the first 20 games over the Lakers and the Heat will always make me smile. Hopefully next Friday Indy can be added to the list. Stock Up: Hedo Turkoglu. (He is the Magic's glue, especially tonight. Only 3 assists shy of a triple double. He just seems to play a little better every game.) J.J. Redick. (This is for consistency. Once again, 11 minutes, 3-5 from the field for 8 points including making both his free throws. Also he scored coming off screens this time instead of just drilling 3s. Unfortunately, he seems to have one major defensive breakdown every game he's in, although this was a good move by Vujacic. He jumped into JJ's chin, drew the foul, and made the 3 point play. However if JJ can keep this up, he can be a spark off the bench as well as rest for Bogans and Evans for about 10-15 minutes a game. Plus every opposing team in the league respects/fears his range, so he spreads the floor for Dwight.) Bogans/Evans perimeter D. (It took Kobe 26 shots to make 28 points. He only had 9 points after the 1st quarter ended. 'Nuff said.) Bench offense overall. (42 points against one of the best benches in the NBA in the Lakers. Well done by Dooling, Evans, Redick, & Foyle.) Rashard Lewis. (3-6 from the 3 point line, hit all his free throws, 18 points overall, and also threw in 7 assists. That's more like it!) Stock Down: Jameer Nelson. (Look I dunno if he has justifiable emotional problems, or if he's still injured or banged up.. but 1-9 from the field ain't good, and 5 assists against 3 turnovers isn't that all impressive either. Hopefully Meer gets things straightened out soon.) But you can't argue against 15-4, including 10 outta 12 on the road. Wow! Also this win assures the Magic of another winning road trip. It was good the bench played so much tonight, because the starters need to step up again against a red hot Golden State team which should prove to be the second-toughest test of the road trip. Task #1: Contain Baron Davis! Great win, good night everybody. EDIT: Yeah by the way.. that Kobe guy can sure dunk can't he? Huh. I agree man, nice post. That would be 10 loses going into the 11th year. But it is still 07 fellas it is 10 years We didn't win for 10 years, we won in the 11th, so it took us 11 years to win again. ________ Baron will get his tomorrwo but GS can be scary at home he's a Magic killer but he also has to pass the ball, and there's no Kobe or no Tim Duncan on that team. Magic don't give up as many 2nd chance points and they'll be alright. Oh and guard the 3pt line, that team can shoot the lights out from there. Baron will make Jameer his wife tonite, Jameer can't keep up with him, using that matador defense, I hope Dooling will be up to the task.
