I'm all about respect man. But forums are made for personal opinion, whether you agree with it or not. Flaming a coach is absolutely acceptable, as long as you're not CROSSING THE LINE. Like I stated before, theres a difference between saying "Brian Hill sucks and has a stupid grin on his face" as opposed to saying "I hope Brian Hill's house burns down".

As far as my own personal life? Let's not forget behind our online handles we are all real people, and we should be able to overcome such a stupid thing that this has become. This has gotten way out of hand. Let's all move on from this crap and get over it.

If you really are that offended by somebody calling your thoughts dumb on this forum, then maybe you need to reflect on your personal life. Cause in the end, none of this really matters. This is entertainment, don't suck the fun out of it.

Truely, what is the difference between booing a team at the game, or articulating those boo's on a forum?

Evidently it was more of a problem(Brian Hill flaming) than you guys think when the moderator of the boards(RockChalk) adresses it in his opening post for this thread. As he also commented, he hardly ever says anything. For him to have to go into speech mode means to me he was tired of it and layed the law down.

There is always a sure fire way to change the flow of this thread....

I don't think Arroyo should start. I think he should play behind Dooling.

Just kidding... I hope he plays well and gets backup minutes, provided he plays well.

No one called my thoughts dumb. It was a constant daily occurence of personal attacks on Brian Hill. And as you said earlier, you can't cross the line. Well the line was crossed almost daily. I got tired of it because I still coach and started defending him.

I will remind you what RockChalk stated earlier for any of you guys that have any semblance of decency for your fellow man, "Brian was one of the nicest most generous individuals you would ever meet".

BLAH BLAH BLAH.

Rock chalk is an employee of the Orlando Magic, right? I'm sure he was a great fellow co worker. However, as a coach he's no more than an offensive coordinater.

Freedom of Speech affords us the right to voice our opinions, many lives have been lost fighting for this freedom...And no "Great Guy" is going to be tagged untouchable by public ridicule. I agree with Jareth Cutestory that no one SHOULD "step over the line". But Hill's Soccer mom militia should also realize that as a coach he is in a position to be scrutinized.

Now that "The Great Guy" is gone he can sit back knowing he got paid by Mr. Pyramid Scheme thanks to us "Degenerate, Ungrateful Fans".

OH YEAH AND...

As a PERSON

Brian Hill > Jerry Sloan

But as a Coach

Brian Hill < Ronald McDonald

The Pope is a "GREAT" person. However, I WOULD not be in favor of him coaching OUR Magic. I would most definatly pull out the Choir Boy jokes.....Before getting your panties in a wad, realize...I'm Catholic, I'm allowed.

HERES HOPING I DON'T GET BANNED.

Very nice - I would rather have the Pope coach our team than Brian Hill - he couldn't be worse. I would do it all over again - he was a nightmare as a coach. I couldn't stand it. I stand by my position that BHill is the worst coach in the NBA - was the worst coach.

Doc Rivers is the 2nd worst. I don't hang with BHill - if I did maybe I wouldn't be so critical in such a vocal way. We had way too much talent that was absolutely ruined last year and I so strongly blame BHill. If BHill hadn't been such a bad coach we probably wouldn't have lost Darko, because the Magic would have played very well last year had BHill not been here.

So, I still don't like BHill as a coach and I am glad that many of us made the effort to get him fired. He may have had a heart attack had he stayed here another year and the franchise could have suffered major, major setbacks.

I could have coached the Magic better than BHill, with all that wasted talent - it was very, very hard to watch. Everyone was screaming at him - how stubborn he was, etc. I remember and I'm glad he is gone. I wish him well and hope he has a great life, but I don't want him back as a coach ever.

Doesn't look like anything preseason will be broadcasted in anyway.

A couple of the games in China will be on ESPN 2. I have no idea what time it'll be on, though.

I'm glad this thread has opened up better dialogue between everyone.

I never thought those Dr. Phil audio tapes would come in handy....

First off, the constant flaming, personal attacks and insults to the intellingence of our former coach Brian Hill. I personally was very offended by it all and as everyone knows it was a daily occurence.

You're going to have to lighten up a little Junkie. This isn't the NY Times editorial page, it's a messageboard about a basketball team. I don't think Brian Hill was scanning the boards after each game to see if I called him a moron for keeping his starters in for to long.

It might show class to avoid personal attacks, but it isn't a requirement.

Here's the thing about the comments about Brian Hill, majority if not all of the comments came down to personal attacks. Thats a big fallacy right there. We're talking about his ability as a coach, and there most of the posters are, going as far as, assassinating his character. Go figure.
