bradsmagicfins Posted August 31, 2007 Author Report Posted August 31, 2007 I think alot of people have failed to mention at how much improved dwight howards free throw shooting is, i think he has been working with jj..but ig he stays over 60% consistently and all the fouls that he gets,,we could easily add about 10 points more per game during the season,,,so far at the fibas he has played 8 games and is 19/31 at 61%...i hope he keeps it up Quote

He gets to the line alot and its no telling if hes going to make it or not. I still dont have faith in his ft shot. I guess it will come in time. I hope someone else can get to the line more than he does that is a good ft shooter. With Howard you just never know. Quote
jack daniel 999 Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 .61 is better than .586... But I think last year he did the same . He still should bring it up a little more before we can be sure. Quote

His form isn't completely flawed so he can improve he just needs to work at it. Quote
MilitaryMagic Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 Another thing being overlooked... Dwight hasn't had a good game at the FIBA's in a while. Stat has been outplaying him, at least in the box scores... Quote
Dolbypaw Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 Dwight has hit his last 5 free-throws in the FIBA games and is 22 for 34 (65%) since Team USA's intersquad game. The Magic did bring in a shooting coach Charles Richardson that has been working with Dwight. I know Charles personally and he told me that Dwight hit 60 in a row at one point this summer and that good things are to come. Stay tuned. Quote

Skywise316 Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Dwight just had a 19 point game, I think it was against Puerto Rico. You guys need to quit freaking out. This is the Carmelo-Kobe-Lebron show, and everyone else (except maybe Michael Redd) isn't much more than a spectator. I'm happy about Dwight's defense more than anything. It's consistent and almost Bill Russell-esque out there. We'll see it if he can do it against NBA teams. Consistently, I mean. Quote
ThisIsTheYear Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 His last couple of games he's looked excellent at the line. The form looks much better, and he's hit nothing but net. I hope he keeps it up. Quote
Rob Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Dwight Howard is doing good. He just have to keep working on his fts. Doing better but just have to get that fts percentage up and be consistent with it. I like to see him keep getting at the line alot throught all these tourney games. Thats the best to get points, i hope Lewis start doing more of that. And his defense is just outstanding. But most of all why hes playing on the USA team, he also should pick up little key things that his teammates do in order to be able to dominate when the season starts. Just to give himself a little edge. I just think not only that hes trying to win for USA,but, he also can studying his season opponents more while playing alongside of them. Im pretty sure they studying him as well. But it is the Lebron-Kobe-Melo show so the other players just do what they can basically to help out. But with Howard hes as consistent as they come. He ll get you 20points per night, get you some key blocks, and alot of rebounds. As Magic fans, were looking pretty good for the future. Nothing to worry about. He can only get better. Quote
magicfan525 Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Nothing to worry about. Dwight can only get better.....until he gets hurt. Quote
