Dwight's lack of Development

Wow! Thats a fantastic assessment of a 21 year old player. Can you name me a great that was great at 21? or even name two other 21 year olds that has had more impact on a team? This is one of the most ridiculous posts I have read on this board.

 

I agree. He'll develop some consistent post moves in time. Did you guys not see when he played KG, or Duncan? They couldn't guard him! You know why? There were no double teams. We need to have Redick and possibly Diener in every time that Dwight and Darko are in the game, so that they can do whatever they want. Why can't our staff see this?

Thisistheyear, Re: why can't our staff see this? Yeah I agree completely. Magic staff are blind!!! Blind!!!! I wish they'd spend more time reading what we write here. We'd be ranked 5 or 6 if they knew how to use our young talent. For example, Redick is doing well given the extra minutes... now imagine how better he'd be if Hill had started playing him earlier in the season? Only God knows....

I don't think that there is a lack of development at all. dwight dosen't play well with his back to the basket, but you have to remember he didn't play college, and we expect their offensive game to come around later than guards. Remember the utah game, he had spacing created because the team made perimeter shots, and dooling is a little taller so than other point guards. any way the point is that Dwight didn't have to play witn his back to the basket, he had time to turn and face the basket.

 

Think about how long it took yao ming to adjust to the NBA, and he had a pretty darn good offensive game to start with. It just takes post players longer to adjust ofensively,

 

Oden is not nearly as polished as dwight, he probably wouldn't even be able to score on dwight right now, You can count on that

Shaq didn't even walk right into the NBA and start scoring right away, well he scored the same way dwight does.

 

I can't think of any big men that have started scoring well immediatly after entering the NBA

 

If we keep guards in the game that can hit from outside, redick, diener, It should help him until he learns some effective post moves for NBA
