This is par for the course with Arroyo - he'll whine about being held accountable for his poor play all the way out of Orlando..just like Utah...just like Detroit...

As was brought up in other threads - why not make him innactive - especially after crying to the media ONE DAY after a good TEAM achievement. Diener would be a better 3rd option , just for the fact that he brings the 3-Ball and a different tempo than the others.

Their isnt an 'I' in TEAM... nor a 'C-R-L-O-S' - just an A(**), and hes showin his!

Sorry, but I need to vent a little bit. I'm just so sick and tired of the Carlos fans and their sense of entitlement over buying tickets and Arroyo jerseys to go watch a player that they idolize that has never amounted to anything in the NBA.

Now, one day after a great team game Arroyo thinks it appropriate to whine to the media about how he is not happy. This is his second time this year pulling such an act. Now we'll get to hear from all his fans about how he was treated unfairly.

Instead of recognizing that Arroyo doesn't fit and doesn't excel unless it's on the international stage playing with all his peers, we get to hear about what a travesty it is that he hasn't been shown the proper confidence from any of his 22 NBA coaches. Give it a break. I'm sick of it.

If I'm wrong and someone did please correct me.

Let's give credit to the man when he makes a positive decision. So far!(lol)

Actually, me and JD broached this subject a few days ago.

As for the point guard situation, I am not ready to give up on Jameer mainly due to one fact. Mike Bibby played for Brian Hill in Vancouver and has said playing PG for him is extremely difficult. He micromanages his point guards to the point that they are thinking too much instead of playing. I do think we a more defensive minded back up that we can play more against the bigger PG's like Davis, Kidd and Billups.

At the beginning of the year the bigger pg back-up was supposed to have been Dooling's job...But that changed.

JD hit it on the head!

Surprise! I'll give credit. I just hopes he's learned enough from reading these boards. LOL!!

although the way Otis was firng off and the decisiveness of this change tells me Mr. Smith just might have more to do with it.

This really does smell a little like Otis but I am glad to hear it is not just a one game thing.

I know this is off topic but I have the volume on, on my computer today to watch some March Madness. Does anybody else feel when they log onto the website that Jack Bauer is going to kick down their door??

Okay, I've been corrected. Huge props to Jack Daniel and Bhnole as the only living Magic board members to make the suggestion to Brian Hill about putting Dooling back to the point!

Do you guys remember the year Dooling played with the Heat against the Pistons in the playoffs? He was by far there best point guard in that series.

Listening to BHill talk after the game last night, he sounded really down on some of his players - several times he repeated that he used the players who were going to help the team. Yes, Brian, they haven't helped much over this **** run the team has had recently. But who chose to leave them in there? Don't go making them scapegoats, they might come in useful later. This team doesn't have the talent level to continually go eight deep. There's plenty of blame to go around for the recent slump (there's a guy in your mirror that needs to take the lion's share, Brian), and if you try to dump it all on these two, you will lose them for sure. And you can't afford that...

I have mentioned it before, I bet a few have as well.

It's basically common sense to have Dooling (defense, pushes the ball) and Redick (shooting, uptempo play) or Diener/Redick over Jameer and Arroyo who slow the offense down.

Let's give him props for finally "discovering" this. Coach is not as smart as the thread starter thinks but ok, bravo Brian. It took him the whole season to figure this one out.

Now if he could figure out Diener/Redick is another combination that has a lot of potential I'd send him a contratulations card.

Right now the hispanic media is talking about Arroyos benching. We all know not all is pink on todays business.

Really!?! Would you be willing to start today by not posting here anymore? That would be a great start.

I have to give credit to Bhnole and JD because I will the first to admit that I didn't think Dooling could play the pg position full time. The jury is still out whether he can or not but last night was a great start.
