All Eyes On Me Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 If that athletic article Josh Robbins put out is true (which I’m sure it is) about Weltman getting a secret extension midseason, I’m gonna have a hard time staying invested in this team. It starts at the top, I wish the DeVos’ would just sell the team to someone that prioritized winning over money. This offseason is probably make or break for a lot of fans, myself included. This season and the way that game 6 ended at home in front of all the diehards cannot get swept under the rug. Quote

FO need to go first. Not sure about DeVos, he spent in the the past when needed, and it's also going to spend for this core with the poor results we had... Quote
OnlyFranz Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 Mosley just fired! Unfortunately we’re stuck with Weltman who is also part of the problem. I hope we don’t hire Billy Donovan or Darvin Ham because that would also be very underwhelming. 1 Quote
Shine88 Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 Magic president Jeff Weltman, who signed a contract extension just before Orlando’s run to the NBA Cup final four, will lead the team's search for the next head coach. Mosley led the Magic to two division titles and three consecutive winning seasons while dealing with a litany of injuries to key starters, particularly over the last two years. So they fell for the run in the NBA Cup? This franchise. Quote
All Eyes On Me Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 I wish Mose the best. Great man and a great basketball mind on the defensive side of the ball, but he had to go. Game 6 was the final nail. Top of my list is Bud and Thibs, I have no interest in Donovan if I’m being honest. 1 Quote
fan for too long 2 Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 Magic doing everything wrong as usual. Weltman has to go for this to work. He hired the guy. He can’t get a point guard. He drafted Bamba and a litany of Shiity players. The fans just got a bone and we should be happy? F THAT !!!!!!!!!!!! 1 Quote
Shine88 Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 The Magic ended the season ranked 11th league-wide in wide-open 3-point attempts per game but 28th in accuracy, converting only 36.5 percent of those shots. They also struggled to make what the NBA defines as open 3s, ranking 28th in accuracy at 31.7 percent. This has been the story of the Weltman era, yet, we extended this guy because we made the final four in the NBA Cup. Quote
fan for too long 2 Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 Weltman, At this point go get Ja and Giannis. Prove to your fans that you are a real gm and not some bottom of the bottom feeder like we know you are. Quote

I was thinking if we want we probably could still flip Suggs and stuff for Ja as he has no trade value. This might be the move to make. We might have to include Black as we have no draft picks. Quote
Shine88 Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 Mosley firing was the worst kept secret of the NBA season. Reported last month that Bulls ownership coveted keeping Billy Donovan but feared all along the pending opening in Orlando would be too big a draw. Now, the only question is does Donovan want to do it or take a year off? Was told by a very good source that Orlando's locker room was a mess and Mosley had no control. He wasn't going to survive even if Magic got past Detroit. There's a major Banchero problem. Donovan would walk into a very talented but dysfunctional circus. One player the Magic have that Donovan has a huge coaching crush on? Jalen Suggs. His type of player. https://x.com/JCowleyHoops Quote
