The Neighborhood Bully Posted June 18 Report Posted June 18 Quote Trayce Jackson-Davis - $2.4 million team option, contract then becomes non-guaranteed: Jackson-Davis isn’t a lock to stick in Toronto. He probably will, because his potential still outweighs his contract. But the Raptors are closer to the tax than they’d like to be. That could see them move on from a guy who is essentially their third or fourth center https://www.spotrac.com/news/_/id/3392/projecting-2026-player-and-team-options-and-guarantees Wouldn't mind as a cheap backup big if we move on from Moe and/or Goga. Can't shoot but defends, rebounds, and gets his share of garbage points. Quote

CTMagicUK Posted June 18 Report Posted June 18 Someone who's been really keeping up with draft prospects talk to me about Rafael Castro. Block, steal and rebound metrics are awesome. Looks really mobile defensively. Offensively isn't threatening anything and he played at a small school but seems like a guy you'd take a chance on in round 2 if you were a defense built on switching and forcing turnovers. Quote
CTMagicUK Posted June 18 Report Posted June 18 I enjoyed the press conference. Sweeney seems like a really intense dude. I'm left feeling like either Sweeney will get the best out of Paolo... Or they'll end up hating each other by the end of the season lol Jeff Weltman at least twice emphasized how much the front office liked this group so I'd maybe put the trade machine on hold. Quote
Shine88 Posted June 19 Report Posted June 19 The Los Angeles Lakers are actively looking to move out of No. 25 and, according to one source familiar with their thinking, are exploring scenarios that would take them out of the draft entirely. I'd love to trade up in that range. Chris Cenac Jr. and Jayden Quaintance would be my targets. The Lakers are in the market for a center. So, Goga and future 2nd round pick. Quote

If that would happen, that would be great. Goga just can’t keep up the effort. If he’s on, he’s a great rim protector and in theory a nice pick and roll threat. But his on court Bidy Language has gone sour ever since he got paid/extended Quote

But what i’ve been reading into the presser is also that we have to make a couple of money decisions. So we will see a trade of some kind. We have to make a decision on Suggs and AB as well. AB will be asking a great amount of money. TDS decision to be made shortly after. Me personally m, i’d be interested in a sign and trade for Mark Williams too. Would love to add Robert Williams off the bench. And also, can we please figure out a way to add Sexton? Quote
CTMagicUK Posted June 19 Report Posted June 19 This team realistically isn't sign and trading for anyone at the minute as that would hard cap us at the first apron which we are currently 9 million dollars over. Quote
orlandoholic Posted June 19 Report Posted June 19 we could t do a Mark Williams for WCJ sign and trade? Quote

If we waived and stretched Isaac we theoretically could but it would depend on how much you paid Mark Williams whether or not we'd be able to make any other moves at all or if we'd be so close up to the first apron we wouldn't even be able to sign guys to the minimum. I personally wouldn't trade Wendell for Mark Williams anyway but that's a separate conversation I guess. Quote

I just wonder if we could bring him back as a vet min. i’d certainly do that and i believe he would resign, because the Magic have done him well and he’s seems like the type of person to give back Quote
orlandoholic Posted June 19 Report Posted June 19 As for the other conversation, WCJ is too similar to Paolo with his flaws especially low energy for the majority on D. we also need a rim protector and better rebounding center.. Missi would be my preferred target Quote
