Soul Bro Posted April 6 Report Posted April 6 Given the season we are having and all of the speculation about our future, allow me to introduce the 2026 Off-Season Hopes & Dreams Thread! Quote
Soul Bro Posted April 6 Author Report Posted April 6 A lot of bad trade ideas involving the Magic here. Lol! https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25406063-perfect-2026-offseason-trade-every-nba-team Quote
All Eyes On Me Posted April 6 Report Posted April 6 You’re killin me, Soul! lol I have a few ideas but I’m gonna wait to bury this season until it’s fully dead. I know we’re on life support and it’s probably gonna inevitably end the way we all know, but maybe, just maybe we win out, steal the 6 seed and go beat New York in the first round :)… what can I say, I’m an optimist Quote

Luke_FfS Posted April 6 Report Posted April 6 I've a only dream, and has been a constant one since a few seasons. Change FO. Ours is not terrible, there're worst ones around there, but it's not good enough to win a title, and that's the only thing I/we care about. It's like an old style FO unable to see that NBA is changing and upgrading every single season, and they're not able to follow that speed. Then the new FO will decide all the rest, about coaching staff and everything else. I still believe we've a few good pieces in the roster, we're still young, we just need better direction/decisions/smart people on the right roles. Quote

Then the new FO will make his own decision about coaching staff and everything else. Luke_FfS Posted April 6 Report Posted April 6 Well, Chicago has been plain terrible in the last few seasons. I'm holding hopes only because usually FO's that are in their last year are renewed earlier. Possibly the bad results after the big spending have prevented that. Not sure will happen, but until there's no news about renewing them, the dream will be there. Quote
orlandoholic Posted April 8 Report Posted April 8 My hopes is a new FO. Can’t agree more. But most importantly we will get to know if this franchise only cares about making money or if we want to win it all. Because everything i’ve seen from Weltmann was basically making money for Devos. All these unnecessary cash considerations for valuable 2nds is just one aspect. We have been very cheap on staff. Or medical staff has to be the wirst for over a decade now. We never cared about surrounding Mosley with good assistant coaches who could actually teach him some X and Os. So that’s my biggest wish. As a coach i wanted Malone. He was the guy i felt was a perfect fit for this roster. Jenkins wants a fast pace and he had prime Ja Morant. We don’t have anything like that. Huge risk. Mosley is not a bad coach. But this fo has failed him. Our roster is such a bad fit for him. He wants his players to create by themselves. But that’s just not their natural skill. So either get a new coach that fits this roster or keep Mosley and get him some players that create their own Quote
orlandoholic Posted April 8 Report Posted April 8 to be clear. I initially thought Malone would be too hard nosed for this team. I changed my mind. Still like Jenkins, but the fit scares me Quote

I also seriously doubt we have a cheap medical staff. Don’t agree with most of this post. But I do agree that if we flame out again in the playin or first round playoffs, some change at the top is needed. Quote

Probably only good on geriatrics. Lol Quote
Manu Ginobili Posted April 11 Report Posted April 11 I much rather have a new coach than a new fo it would be priority #1 and then #2 in my book third one would be to get rid of the obvious (isaac and carter) and the not so obvious (wcj and suggs) Quote
