Long time since I (but I should tell WE, except from Jay that always believe we're contenders! :P :P :P) had those kind of expectations for a Magic team. It's hard to envision now, a lot of things could happen and a lot of variables, but while I don't see us at the level of some of the West teams, I believe we definitely have a chance to make a great run in the East.

Obviously expectations also mean more pression, and we'll see how our guys (most of them relatively unexperienced) and our coachin team will fare. Mosley will probably feel the most of this pressure, as this time FO made some big moves, and there're less "excuses" than previous years, when everything we got was a plus somehow.

Really excited for those first games, but I'm already looking forward to mid april too.

Holy s… 

What is going on? Billups has been arrested? They are not playing around. Will they look into the mysterious Doncic trade where two GM friends made a deal? was there any bigger rigging by the NBA and somehow rigging Flagg to the Mavs? What about Wembanyama? I remember they where speaking Wembanyama into the existence of the Spurs like one year before the draft. The NBA sure knows how to get their prime players into their important markets. 

They probably got caught off guard by the Magic drafting Paolo instead of Jabari Smith  lol..

This is just the tip of the iceberg. And i hope they look at all sports as well. For damn sure the NFL is rigged, especially by refs. The Chiefs wouldn’t be eilte without the refs and their Oline constantly allowed holding. 

Will this effect the Magic in any way? They have been mentioned in the Billups case.

Lol none of this is happening. Billups got arrested for his part in an illegal poker racket with mobsters. The FBI aren't investigating the NBA or NFL dealings generally. 

The Magic have already released a statement that they have not been contacted by anybody and have no reason to believe any of their current players are involved. 

EDIT: also the idea that San Antonio is an important market to the league is simply not grounded in reality. They're bottom half of the league in both metro population and TV market size. There's no financial reason the league would want Victor Wembanyama in San Antonio specifically.

One of our players on April 6 2023. Not necessarily (and probably not) one of our current players. 

And note there is no evidence or suggestion that the player in question was doing anything illegal or untoward. He simply told someone he knew that he wouldn't be playing that night.

I didn’t say i believe any current player is involved. 
 

And he didn’t just tell anybody that he wasn’t playing, he told a betting mafia person that the Magic were resting players, before it was known to the public.. 

I said this is just the tip of the iceberg. Sports betting is always an issue. Look at soccer (yes i said soccer) Multiple teams, players and refs at the highest level have been caught rigging. 
Of course i believe this was/is done in the NBA/NFL and any major sports
