Not Magic related but Eastern Conference related. Reading that the Knicks refused to consider a Brunson for Giannis swap is ludicrous to me.

No it's not! So you take your super clutch, heart of the current team and replace him with Giannis. How far are you going then? Of course you want to pair them together. Some trades just aren't there, no need to do something stupid to make it work. Rockets were the best most obvious trade partner before they got Durant. I still say both teams regret that later on.

The Bucks will want some good young players and some picks. We would have been the best trade partner before we gave away too many picks for Bane. Not that i regret it, it was a super savy move for a guy that was not on the block and we gave them back hot garbage. I just wish we could have kept one pick and the swap. Anyway about the game last night.

Bane,Wagner and Banchero  looked terrible the first quarter last night and still had positive plus minus. Sure it was against back-ups but they show why they are gonna be the leaders. These guys have too much talent and skill to let a bad quarter ruin their confidence. Bench looked great. Jace is the real deal, Black looked great and Jett even fixed his shot after the first few looked ugly. TDS is exactly who he was last year, smart offensive player. Completely see why they drafted Penda, he is physical.

The real stars of last night were the two centers. Real solid play. I love the combo of Goga and WCJ. They just both do different things and anyone who watched last night could see Wendall was on a mission.

Only negative is Isaac. How can you be in the league this long and never improve your offensive game? Guy looks the same as 4 years ago. Just slower.

+1 Nice post hootie249. I love it! Especially where you showed my Goga some love.

My biggest disappointment was with Bane. I watched him when the Grizzlies played the Magic and he was one of my players not to like in the league because he was so good behind the 3 pt. line, and last night his shots looked bad and were not dropping for him.

I hope he does not become Kentavious Caldwell-Pope 2.0

Cool down, this is pre season!! We are implementing a new offensive style. A new pace, defining roles.
Bane will be good, looked great at times. Tyus will bring veteran leadership to the second unit and Paolo will play at an All Star level.

I tried to warn people. I’ve been through the same emotions with team germany. They looked terribleness pre season when they were implementing that fast pace offense. But after like 4-5 games the players adapted it and all hell broke loose on teams during Eurobasket.

The system also wears teams down. Some teams keep up until middle of the 4th quarter, just to find themselves loosing by 20 by the end of the game!!!

I see a lot of similarities. I said it during eurobasket i’d love that system for our team, as i think the Magic team is built for this. And it seems like we are implementing the fast pace philosophy.

I have a great example. Maxey made a tough basket just to find himself sprinting all over the court and Jase hit an And-One 3 Point shot, with Maxey fouling him trying to contest. All within 4 seconds. This type of plays wear players down, especially the super star players that usually don’t want any of this.

Halfway through this 1st quarter tonight and I already can’t stand this PA announcer.  He’s everything that is terrible about announcers. The yelling is awful,  Paul Porter was a class act.

Every single Magic player out working the opposition for 48 mins is very very fun to watch. Our 2 way guys are actually good, would feel ok with either one playing spot minutes in a pinch.

Is Jett Howard going to be a real NBA player? He looked genuinely good in this game. The Magic might actually be a full 14 deep lol

Jett looked good on offense, but his defense is terrible. He’s always late and slow. Plushie fouls a lot because of this.

I just don’t see him getting minutes alongside Tyus or Jase. We need a 3 and D wing to cover their liabilities.

I hope we can trade him as long as people might feel like a change of scenery would help him. I actually wouldn’t mind to trade Jett for Andre Jackson straight up. or we can pick up Oladipo. But i think due to CBA reasons we’d have to wait til the All Star Break to pick him up for a vet minimum or something like that.
