2025 Summer League Thread

Summer league for the Magic kicks off tomorrow night at 7:30 EDT.

I'm weirdly excited about summer league even though I place very little stock in summer league as a barometer for success. 

(This is your annual reminder that Franz Wagner looked horrible in summer league)

And I'm not entirely sure Summer League is the ideal setting for either of our rookies to truly showcase themselves. 

I guess because we have the two way spots open and with only 14 rostered guys it's possible some of these guys playing in SL will actually be with the main roster and get some burn this season if there are injuries etc.

Also the Magic do have the best mascot in sports yes.

Joan Beringer is playing volleyball out there.. He might break a record for most blocked shots if this continues

In one half Beringer looks like the best rookies I've seen so far in SL. The wolves got a steal. Plus, he's only 18.

The #Magic are starting Jase Richardson, Ethan Thompson, Noah Penda, Tristan da Silva and Kylor Kelley to open 2025 Las Vegas Summer League against the Kings.

Penda slow feet quick hands. Good thing he has long arms. Oh and a sweet brick from 3 zero touch on that one.

Jase finishing ability is Kyrie lite. Kid just plays the game the right way.

Loved Jase’s defense and Penda’s overall physicality. Also TDS was our best player out there tonight.
