Anfernee Simons to Boston for Jrue Holiday and 2 2nds.

Fit doesn’t make sense at all for Jrue in Portland at this stage of his career, wonder if there’s another move coming.

Wonderful trade for Boston, basically got to pay a guy as a thank you and then say...Adios! 

For those that don't follow the math besides making less Anfernee is in the last year of his contract and will help them reset the tax when he is gone. And still compete.

I doubt Boston trades with us, but Porzingis would be the piece to unlock this offense.

No idea why Portland did this. 

Not entirely sure Simons is finishing the summer in Boston either.

I thought about this but Allen's contract increasing to like 19mil in years when JI would make 14.5 is tough to swallow for a team that'll already be deep in the tax.

At some point Portland needs to grow up, and given Billups history as a point guard, I think he’d be a great mentor and floor leader for those guys. Their guard play has especially been a mess since Dame was traded.

They must be confident they can trade Ayton. However after this year Jrue still has two more year on his contract! 

I'd bet real money this ends up bad for them.

Just looked he will make 37 million in his last year. And unlike Kevin Durant who you can justify you can't with a 37 year old Jrue. Kevin who just averaged 26/6/4 or Jrue who averaged 11/4/4 and will probably have less stats in 2027.

How are they gonna dump that contract after he "teaches" their young guards to play. SMDH.

Even if I've always been one of the biggest Jrue lover, and I can understand the reasons for Portland to make such a move, why they have to add picks remains a total mistery for me. That's reverting how usually those kind of trades work.
