the east is wide open. We should be ultra aggressive imo. Do we have the assets to do it?

Bring me Collin Sexton and Herb Jones.

ORL get Collin Sexton

Utah get M. Wagner, Jett Howard

ORL get H. Jones

NOLA get TDS, Bitadze good amount of seconds

that’s funny.. I was just wondering myself and made a suggestion..

I honestly don’t know. They are going to pay Murphy and looks like they are keeping Zion.

I think for them it’s ok to trade Herb. Especially if they get young pieces back. I’m not trading AB though and i wonder if TDS and Goga plus picks will do it?

Not to be that guy… especially because I still love the move to get Bane. But if a KD trade was inevitable, like it was, why did we make a move so quickly? I guess my question is, is that Suns/Wiz pick swap not significantly more valuable today than it was yesterday?

Was thinking the same, but it's too late for that kind of regrets now.

I'm also still worried by giving out totally unprotected picks 3 and 5 years from now, as you never know what could happen, but it's another thing of the past...

Everyone knew KD was being traded so the pick probably has the same value. We made the move early because as I understand it the salaries only worked in this current league year and not the new 25/26 league year or something to that effect.

I also think we might have gone early because what if the Suns got a great deal for KD and their outlook looked a lot less bleak? The pick then looks less valuable. The Suns likely still have moves to make around the draft so I think it remains to be seen what they look like next year.

Regardless it was our best asset and we likely needed to include it to get Bane either way.

The NBA offseason chess match is underway, and Ty Jerome might be the unexpected beneficiary of moves happening across the league.

While much of the discussion has centered on whether the Cavs will retain their valuable sixth man, a fascinating alternative destination has emerged: the Orlando Magic.
In the latest Wine and Gold Talk podcast, cleveland.com’s Chris Fedor dropped a bombshell about Orlando’s suddenly improved position to pursue Jerome following their acquisition of Desmond Bane.

“The Orlando were projected as a first apron team. They are no longer projected as a first apron team,” Fedor explained. “So that means all of a sudden instead of Orlando basically only having the taxpayer mid-level exception, which is about 5.6 million ... they now have access to the full mid-level exception.”

That full mid-level exception — $14.1 million — puts Orlando squarely in the Jerome sweepstakes, alongside approximately 23 other teams with similar financial flexibility. But what makes the Magic particularly intriguing isn’t just the money; it’s the fit.

“Not only did they add Desmond Bane, but now they become more of a player in free agency and they still do need a point guard like Ty Jerome, somebody that can organize the offense, somebody that can get them into their stuff,” Fedor noted.

This potential pairing carries delicious irony.

During a Cavaliers-Magic game last season, Jerome reportedly engaged in some heated trash talk with Orlando star Paolo Banchero, boldly declaring: “I’ll start on y’all team.”

It's crazy that Tatum, Dame, and now Hali have all torn their achilles during these playoffs. Add to that the injury concerns of Embiid and George, and the East is wide open. It's wild. I'm super grateful for our youth and our core, and I can't wait to see what's next.
